With most Elite teams and all the cup winners gone, the ro16 draw was an interesting time for everyone involved. /po/ ended up being /mu/'s destined opponent for their first knockout game of the season. In a tournament of no goals, /mu/ proved itself worthy and crumpled /po/ 3 - 1. For the Quarter Finals, /mu/ would have to once again face /ic/ and while /mu/ may have won their previous match, /ic/ was out for revenge. But like any rivalry /mu/ has, the results stay consistent. /mu/ took their game 2 - 1 over /ic/ and were next set to face /vg/ who had eliminated a few other giants themselves this tournament. /vg/ were no match for /mu/, however, and The Deak returned to form one final time to take the series 1 - 0. For the second summer in a row, /mu/ would find itself with a finals to play. This time however, they couldn't lose.

After blown chances at both ends in stoppage time, both teams took a point from the encounter. In what would be a very spicy matchup against /gd/, /mu/ fell behind early in the 22nd minute after Kerning rounded the now match-fit Merzbow, calling into question not only /mu/'s chances at advancing from the group but the two time Golden Glove winning netminder's status as /mu/'s number one goalkeeper. Thankfully, seven minutes later the aesthetic of Vaporwave would prove too much for /gd/ to handle, bringing /mu/ level. Before halftime, MC Ride decided that /mu/ both wanted and needed a goal, bringing /mu/ into the lead in the first half's stoppage time. Another Ride goal in the second half all but secured three points for the former Summer champions, who proceeded to coast their way to a 3-2 decision in their favor. With one match to go, /mu/ were again in control of their own destiny, needing only 1 point against bottom of the group /sci/ to secure their passage to the knockouts. Another late strike in the first half by newly promoted medal Michael Gira put /mu/ in great position to return to the Elite knockout stage, but an equalizer from Richard Feynman would do the job of both canceling /mu/'s lead and causing the /mu/ faithful to sweat through the rest of the whole game. Despite being expected by most to blow /sci/ out of the water, /sci/ keeper Thorium stood tall until stoppage time in the second half, when captain Jeff Mangum took matters into his own hands and blasted one right by the Fuel of the Future to demonstrate to cup viewers that the power of Jesus Christ will always triumph over science and reason. Late game heroics in the /gd/-[s4s] match would go on to influence Group C's overall standings, with a /gd/ victory putting themselves second, and ensuring that /mu/ would top the group.

So it would come to pass that /mu/ would return to the Summer knockouts, a stage where for the most part, history favored them. In 3 of the 4 previous Summer Cups, /mu/ had placed in the top four, including a 1st and 2nd place finish. With the memories of Summer '14 still somewhat fresh in their minds, the team set out to win back-to-back Summer titles. In their first match against /cm/, they started off on the right foot, taking the lead early off a Jeff Mangum goal. Despite this, /cm/ would answer off an effort from Kaoru Nagisa, who would go on to equalize for the cute weeb males once more after MC Ride put  /mu/ ahead again in the first half. Even though they took the lead twice in the first half, /mu/ appeared to be pinned in their own half for much of the first period. A tactical change at the break however put the former Champions back on the offensive however, and before long /mu/ captain Jeff Mangum would lead his lads to victory with a hat trick, delivering a 4-2 win. Their next challenge in the knockouts would be a Quarterfinal matchup with /f/, representing a shot at revenge for the chokefest many /mu/ players still remember in their nightmares from Winter '15. Ready and motivated, /mu/ took the initiative against /f/, with two stoppage time goals, one in the first half from Michael Gira, and another at the very end of the game from MC Ride to seal the result and set up a semifinal matchup with /mlp/.

One way or another, /mu/ simply was not ready to stop the horsefucker menace. The Ponies decisively ended the Summer '14 Champions' bid for a second star in the semifinals by a 3-1 margin before going on to claim a star of their own, much to the chagrin of the /mu/tants. Instead, /mu/ would meet their fellow Original 16 team /b/ in the Third Place match. In what would prove to be the craziest match /mu/ has ever played in, /b/ took control early, dominating the first half and at one point leading 3-0, and later on 5-1. Then, the second half came. Off the strength of an MC Ride Hat Trick /mu/ was almost able to claw their way back to a level scoreline. Unfortunately, time was not on their side and /mu/ lost 5-4 to /b/, who claimed their second 3rd place trophy. Even so, the /mu/ crowd was encouraged by a 4th place finish and now looks to the Winter Cup for a chance to claim that second star and show the cup that they are the greatest team in the 4chan Cup.

Winter Cup 2016
The Winter Cup had numerous great performances from /mu/ to start the era of PES 2016. Initially, the team had to withstand a barrage of shots from /wg/, and got a hard-fought 3-1 victory over the former cup champions. Afterwards, /mu/ loved Jesus Christ once more due to a Jeff Mangum hat trick against /cm/. After these fun matches, fans had to witness something that was rare in PES 2016 - a 0-0 draw. Somehow, /d/ and /mu/ made it happen. This result got both teams through the group stage. Following this strange result, every /mu/ match was a goalfest...for better or for worse. Two 3-2 wins in a row against /f/ and /s4s/ got /mu/ into the top 4 of a cup again.

Unfortunately, the good times would end at the semifinals. /u/ had just broken their quarterfinal curse and shockingly eliminated /mu/ to reach the final. At the third place playoff, /out/ forced /mu/ to settle for another 4th place finish.

Surprisingly, this year's Summer Cup ended in disaster for /mu/. With two 4th place finishes in a row, /mu/ was expected to get somewhere close to the semifinals, but instead they were relegated to the babbies. The draws against /w/ and /asp/ put /mu/ in a tough place: they needed a win to get past the group stage just as badly as /e/ needed to win. 1182 viewers at the Ecchirena witnessed /e/'s astonishing 4-2 over /mu/, where MC Ride seemed to be the only /mu/ medal player capable of doing his job.

Autumn Cup 2016
It was time to rebuild the team once again in the Autumn Babby Cup. Since the last time /mu/ played in a Babby Cup, there were changes made to the format, the biggest one of which was the groups having 4 teams intead of 5. There wasn't much room for errors now, and /mu/ stepped up their game to get back into a major cup. /t/ was easily beaten 3-1, but a 1-0 loss to /tv/ would put /mu/ in hot water. Their next opponent, /g/, desperately needed a win against /mu/. Disaster was averted this time with a thrilling 3-2 win for /mu/.

Just like that, /mu/ qualified for the 2017 4chan Winter Cup. /vr/ quickly ended the good times for /mu/ in the Autumn Babby Cup's Round of 16.

Winter Cup 2017
The group stage draw for the winter cup placed /mu/ in a group of death. /an/ was a new opponent for them, /jp/ had just won the 2016 Autumn Babby Cup, and /mlp/ won their second star in the previous major cup. On top of that, the cup moved to PES 2017, so everyone was scrambling to get used to the new game. Despite some aggression from /an/, they had to settle for a 1-1 draw with /mu/. After that slow start, /mu/ got more comfortable with the pace of PES 2017 and got a 1-0 win over /jp/. This win was important, but it didn't guarantee them a place in the round of 16. In order to get there, they had to draw or win against /mlp/ in the next match. A win against /mlp/ would relegate the ponies. Sure enough, that's exactly what happened and everyone rejoiced, singing MORE THAN THE PONY as MC Ride scored /mu/'s first goal in a 2-0 win over /mlp/. Jeff Mangum scored the second goal quickly after that, sealing /mlp/'s fate.
During the knockouts, /mu/ eliminated small teams like /d/ and /gd/ with goals from MC Ride and Jeff Mangum. The match against /gd/ was notorious for a few reasons: /gd/'s Fuck You Pay Me got sent off for the second time in the cup, and despite that, /gd/ got many shots, but failed to score in over 120 minutes of play. At the semifinals, /mu/ ended /vp/'s dream run in the cup with a dominant 4-1 win, proving that their win over /gd/ was no fluke. Their opponent at the final was /fit/, and both teams were looking to get their second star. The match went to extra time, and /fit/ ended up getting their second star with Scooby's hat trick in a 3-1 loss for /mu/. Even though the end of the cup was seen as being somewhat anti-climatic, /mu/ left the cup in high spirits, having gone so far and eliminating /mlp/ along the way.
Summer Cup 2017
Shockingly, the summer cup was a completely different story. A spaghetti filled start to this cup led to /mu/ losing 4-2 against the mighty /n/. It all got worse in the second fixture of this group. Anthony Fantano scored a legendary own goal (which, to be fair, was the keeper's fault for not reacting to a slow pass), and got himself sent off as /mu/ lost to /d/ 3-1. His performance was NOT GOOD - and due to a combination of results, the /mu/tants were already relegated following these two losses. Without the famous melon, the team actually had a worse performance, possibly one of the worst /mu/ performances of all time, as they lost 4-0 to /lit/. Just like that, /mu/ earned the dreaded Wooden Spoon in this cup.
Autumn Cup 2017
Though /mu/'s trajectory seemed flexible at the beginning of the autumn baby cup, each match in the end brought promotion further and further out of their grasps. The rematch against /mlp/ brought a swift 2-0 lead to /mlp/ in the first half with swift throughballs. Substitutions though in the second half got 2 on the board for /mu/ in the span of 6 minutes, and neither team got to pull ahead afterwards. The game against /tg/ seemed to be a similar story as well, with an early /tg/ goal and dominant play. Once again, /mu/ would equalize shortly after substitutions and while a draw was looking likely, /tg/ sneaked in a 90+1' to keep /mu/ down at 1 point. With the first weekend over, /mu/'s chances were cut down to needing a win from both them and /tg/ in their next match to get through. Amazingly, not even a goal could be scored against a penalized and already relegated /biz/, who despite playing super defensively the entire time, won the match 1-0 and secured /mu/ at the bottom of the group with 1 point. And on that result, /mu/ would miss the 2018 Winter Cup, failing to appear at an elite cup for the first time in its history, and fall as the last neuvo-elite.
Winter Cup 2018
2018 has begun roughly, with /mu/ missing the 2018 4chan Winter Cup due to failing to qualify for an elite cup for the first time in its history. Sitting this one out, /mu/ fell 33 spots down to 51st place in the rankings to the bottom groupings of the active teams. It was thought that there was no where to go but up
Spring Cup 2018
Come the 2018 4chan Spring Babby Cup, and /mu/ was placed into one of the most uncertain groups of the mega babby. Their first game against /m/ showed some resilience with a 89' header from Jeff Mangum to draw 1-1. The next game against /gif/ was not so fortunate and despite numerous shots, none could get past the keeper. In keeping with recent form, a clusterfuck in the box allowed for /gif/ to tap in a goal to win the match. Things went further south in the matchup against /asp/, down 0-2 after the first half, /mu/ started gaining some momentum with a goal and an own goal, but were just a few inches shy of drawing the game, resulting in another loss. Relegated again on that result, the team were unable to get even a single win in the group, ending the spring campaign with a final loss against /cm/.
Autumn Cup 2018
With the 2018 4chan Autumn Babby Cup decision to be a 32 team tournament, /mu/ was thrown into the 2018 4chan Autumn Babby Cup Qualifiers and forced to fight through 3 matches. An incredibly shaky match against /o/ ended in a 1-0 win after Kanye was able to sink the rebound on one of /mu/'s two entire shots that game, against /o/'s 8(5) siege. Autopilot /cgl/ was the next opponent and did not live up to the hype of their earlier success, conceding an early goal from Gira for another 1-0 win. /mu/'s last match was a small showcase to top the group 3-1 against /y/, with a Kanye in the air backheel tap in, TALENTLESS HACK scoring a blooter right after getting subbed in, and then a Mangum sinking a goal in extra time. With that, /mu/ survived the gauntlet and were able to proceed to the main babby cup.
Placed into group G with /fit/, /asp/, and /pol/, it was uncertain who was going to advance, with /mu/ and /asp/ failing to promote in the same group in Spring, and /fit/ and /pol/ also failing to promote in the same group in Summer. /mu/ started the Autumn cup with incredible slurp against /fit/, reaching the half time scoreless and with only 1 shot on target. The gears of PES started spinning quickly though and a flurry of 4 goals were marked in the span of 14 minutes. Gira started off with an incredible strike outside the box that went between the keeper's hands. He was not satisfied though and got /fit/ to FLEX THEIR MUSCLES again with another goal a few minutes later. /fit/ responded by sinking a rebound that Merzbow was unable to catch. A through ball to Mangum finished the goal spree until the end of the match where he scored a brace off a flick from the goal line. /mu/'s other two matches were not as eventful; unable to break /asp/'s defence, a 0-0 draw, and no live managing enabled /pol/ to equalize the game at the end 1-1 after 8.4 BNF scored near the beginning of the game. With that, /mu/ topped the group and punched their ticket back into the elites and faced off against /ck/ in the round of 16. Neither teams were unable to finish their strikes and it wasn't until extra time that /mu/ conceded to Perfect Coffee and were behind for the first time in the tournament. With the commentators wrapping the match as finished, /ck/ gave the greatest blunder with the keeper basically giving Mangum the ball to tie the game and bring it to extra time. An uneventful 30 minutes forced the game to penalties, where /mu/ won after MC Ride, Fast Food Autism, and PHS missed their shots. Finally, /mu/ ended their cup run with a thorough 0-3 beating from /his/ after trying to pull off some meme formations and tactics.
Winter Cup 2019
/mu/ started off 2019 in the 2019 4chan Winter Cup, getting quickly shaken with a devasting 0-4 loss against /gd/, of which one of the goals came from an empty net after Merzbow missed a penalty shot and had to run back to the net. The next match against /ck/ started better with a lightning fast goal by Mangum to start the game. Despite multiple attempts by MC Ride, the score will remain the same until the end of the half, when /ck/ would level it in extra time. Defenses broke down and the second half became a back and forth exchange leading up to a 4-4 draw. On that result, /mu/ would play /r9k/ next and would have to both win, and hope for /gd/ to not lose against /ck/ to advance. In true /r9k/ fashion, the game was immediately bogged with spaghetti as /mu/'s players would clump up and run into each other, dashing /mu/'s chances and providing easy goals for /r9k/. Eliminated on the 2-4 loss, /mu/ waits until the 2019 4chan Spring Babby Cup.
Spring Cup 2019
After a horrendous 31st place finish in the 2019 4chan Winter Cup, /mu/ hoped to go directly back into the elites. in the 2019 4chan Spring Babby Cup, /mu/ would get into Group F with the likes of /h/, /v/ and to that time complete underdog /cm/. /mu/'s first game against /v/ was a quite relieveing 2-0 victory with a flying header by Jeff Mangum after some /v/ spaghetti and a clean shot by MC Ride in the first half. MC Ride played a track from the newest Death Grips vinyl "Steroids" that was released just a few weeks before the cup. Going strong into the second game, /mu/ would face /h/. After quick two goals in the first half (and a reminder by John Lennon who the nigger of the world is), /mu/ already looked like they would promote out of the group but severe defense spaghetti would deny them their victory in the last 10 minutes and the game would end 2-2. Now facing /cm/, /mu/ would only need a draw or a loss not that severe to promote. And of course, the gods of divegrass didn't want any of this. So after going 0-1 down, a game crash and a equalizer by MC Ride to make it 1-1, spaghetti would start to come out of everyones pockets on /mu/ and they would concede 3 further goals. The game would end 1-4 and all hopes and dreams for /mu/ were crushed for the next elite cup. It was only /cm/, right?
Autumn Cup 2019
Straight forward to the 2019 4chan Autumn Babby Cup, /mu/ luckily did not have to qualify for it for not being THAT shit last cup. /mu/ found themselves in an incredibly comfy group H with /ck/, /his/ and /out/. Of course the goal is clear: Promote right away to the elites again, but this time for real. With a new medal promotion in Piero Scaruffi and Michael Gira getting voted off his medal position for the first time since 2015 spring right before the new Swans album dropped, the squad is fresh and looking for goals. In the first game against /ck/, the first half didn't look that good for /mu/. While wrecking up a lot of shots, they find themselves 0-1 behind after the first 45 minutes. But waking up way better than /ck/ in the second half, they wrecked up 3 goals to finish the game 3-1. Even our talentless hack scored and Lou Reed got his third goal as a non medal since 2018 Autumn. The second game against /out/ was pure chaos: Goals left and right, bloots and goals from outside the box everywhere and Mangum even earned himself a hattrick this game after having an incredible Messi-like dribble right after the 3-2 kickoff. The game would end 3-4 in favor of /out/ but all hope is not lost, /mu/ still looked amazing in that match. Now for the last group stage match against /his/, /mu/ would only need a single point to advance, and this is exactly what they got: A 1-1 draw and a nerve wracking match for the last 20 minutes, praying that /his/'s strikers would continue to be too retarded to score (even if the retard got the only goal for /his/ this match). Elite! Finally again. In the knockouts match against /o/, /mu/ was trying to have some fun with incredibly unconventional formations and a lot of hype from the /o/ side. The game would end 2-2 and go into benuldies, where MC Ride would end up not feeling it and getting his shot saved. While we lost that match, we are looking forward to the 2020 4chan Winter Cup with the goal of not embarrassing ourselves again like in the last elite cup.
Winter Cup 2020
Heading into 2020 off a promotion in the Autumn Cup, /mu/ was poised to reclaim it's former glory. Better late than never, a cold reality check was given as effortless throughballs from /u/ led them 3-0 by the 11th minute. After some rocky attempts to plug up the holes, the sacrificed offensive was unable to score until a successful cross at the end of the game. Heading into their next match against /lit/, only god given luck was able to prevent /lit/'s attack from scoring off /mu/'s still shaky defense. Though they were able to score early, /lit/ were able to equalize by the end of the game for a 1-1 draw. After the unexpected shelling of /u/ by /lit/, /mu/'s fate was left to the incredible task of winning by 5 against /fit/ to proceed to the knockouts. /fit/ was riding on a win as well however, and a slugfest ensued, ending in a 4-3 win for /mu/, with Mangum snatching up a double brace. Though relegated once again, the last match was a satisfactory ending note to the cup run.<br><br>
Spring Cup 2020
How do you defend? The question remains unanswered for /mu/ this Spring cup. After conceding twice against their first opponent, /his/, /mu/ were able to soften the blow by scoring once before the end of the first half. Fortunes changed as a more prepared /mu/ were able to reverse the tide and go up 2-0 against /w/, tactical changes by them however quickly washed away the lead, ending the match in a 2-2 draw. With /w/'s win over /his/, /mu/ was relegated and had only glory to gain in their last match against an also relegated, and also autopilot /aco/. Wills broken, /mu/ ended their spring run with 0-3 loss and quietly exited from the cup.<br><br>
Autumn Cup 2020
Once again fetused, /mu/ was thrown into the group of fan favourites for the autumn qualifiers. A 3-0 victory against /tg/ brought good tidings, which were needed for the shakey 2-2 draw against /vr/, which was blessed with last minute fumbles or bad passes by /vr/. Despite a flurry of shots against /co/, 6 saves from their keeper gave them a 2-1 win. With 4 points, /mu/ advanced to the autumn babbies proper.<br><br>
Placed into group B, /mu/ repeated their qualifier success with a 3-0 lead over /v/ by the first half, softened to a 4-2 after some managing changes by /v/. The next match with bant was also a draw, with mostly midfield slog. A breakthrough by /bant/ led to a quick kickoff abuse by MC Ride for a 1-1 result. Due to /v/'s 4-0 thrashing of /w/, /mu/'s advancement rested on not losing by 3 in the next to /w/, with the power of Captain Beefheart, Pierro Scaruffi stepped up to give /mu/ a 2-0 victory before changes by /w/ gave them a concession goal. With this, /mu/ topped the group on 7 points and advanced from an autumn cup for the third straight year. /mu/'s Round of 16 match against /n/ began with some trouble as /n/ dominated the first half, a quick kick off allowed for /mu/ to remain equal until the second half, where /mu/ was able to control and win 3-1 after key interceptions at the end of the match. Moving on the quarter finals against /p/, an early goal by John Lennon gave /mu/ the lead in an otherwise midfield heavy first half, with /p/'s players tiring out, /mu/ were able to score 3 more goals until changes by /p/ at the end were able to give them 2 concession goals for a result similar to the earlier /v/ game. After slaying the unstoppable /trv/, /fa/ were /mu/'s next opponent in the semifinals, and they continued their onslaught with an extremely quick throughball in the 5th minute, and another goal right before the end of the first half, leaving /mu/ with not even a single shot. Some changes were able to keep the team together and a moment of brilliancy from John Lennon equalized the game with a 2 minute brace. Shots began to fly from both sides and mass murder was committed, but nothing was able to enter the net, bringing the game to penalties. Things took a quick nose dive as Pierro Scaruffi, the first player, failed his shot. Later on, two subsequent failures by /fa/ put the fate of the match on Merzbow's shoulder, who with Penalty Specialist, was /mu/'s 5th shooter. In a sign of things to come, he failed the shot, bringing it to sudden death where Viper the Rapper was able to win /mu/ the game with his goal over Meme Shoe. With this, /mu/ entered their first babby final against /o/, and their last final since Winter 2017. Guns blazing, both teams played a tense first half, just failing at the last moment from a bad shot or excellent defending. Things ramped up to 11 as /mu/ began an endless siege of shots, but with 3 kapows and a god tier performance by Black Ice Tree saving every on target shot, none were able to put /mu/ on the board. In one of the most spectacular ways to end a final, a header by Takumi bounced off the crossbar, and off Merzbow's back for an own goal in the 78th minute, giving /o/ the win for champion of the 2020 Autumn Babby Cup. With their 2nd place finish, /mu/ have the 2021 Winter Cup to look forward to.
Winter Cup 2021
Third times the charm, after two years of qualifying for winter only to bomb back into the babbies, /mu/ is back in the game. Off the heels of their 2nd place finish in autumn, /mu/ came charging out to their first match against /c/... down two goals in 15 minutes. A warm welcome back into the elites, but a series of jangly passes culiminating in a nutmeg by john lennon gave MF doom the window to get on the board. An abhorrent slide later on by a /c/ defender would give Ride the ball to an open Mangum to level the game. Dragging the defenders to the wing, /c/ were able to answer back with an open Yui in the middle, ending the first half. With 3 draws in 4 matches, PES were able to provide another one, gifting Ride with an incredible standing volley from a cross for 3-3. Blessed and cursed by the power of the draw, /mu/ were unable to break forward after a slim kapow by Mangum ends the game. Faced up next against a cryptic /d/, John Lennon Beat His Wife grabbed a brace through 2 good crosses by 65. /d/ returned to their normal tactics and equaled in kind with their own cross. Now despite leading, /mu/ were on the back foot against a sieging /d/. Through the power of Jesus, the defense withheld and /mu/ were able to walk away with the win, but not before Viper the Rapper got his 2nd card in two games, suspending him in the next match. Topping the group, /mu/ faced up against /x/ for their last match. In the battle of drugs and medication, /x/ were able to open up the game first with Goatman battling against the entire /mu/ defense before succumbing to their paranoia. Within 10 minutes of /x/'s goal, /mu/ were able to lead 2-1 with goals by MF DOOM and John Lennon. Though /mu/ were able to maintain domination the rest of the game, 5 off target shots left the scoreline the same, and in the dying minutes, /x/ decided to throw everything they had at the wall. Clueless, stumbling into the pitch as a sub, decided that day, he was going to be the hero for /mu/, blocking 3 shots, and ending the game by clearing the ball after 5 minutes of extra time sieging by /x/. For the first time in 4 years, /mu/ had advanced to an elite knockout. Facing fellow fetus escapists /trv/ for the very first time, a nutmeg by Ride gave Lennon an easy shot for 1-0. /trv/ would not get a chance to breathe, when they lose the ball 3 seconds after the kickoff due to the defender passing the ball right to MC Ride, who would gift it to John Lennon for a 1 minute brace. It was then noticed at half time that John Lennon was playing out of position the entire time. In a blunder of a move, this was fixed, which alongside changes from /trv/, gave them the strength to level the game after a strong header by Couchsurfer Rapist, and then a free kick, free goal by Real Traveller. Lennon was promptly returned to out of position, and the game was looking to head into extra time. A bad pass at the sidelines would give /mu/ a throw in however, and 3 passes later, Ride sunk the last goal of the match in. /trv/ made one final seige, but Talentless Hack was able to prevent the last header and /mu/ advanced on to the quarter finals. History repeats itself, and /mu/ were matched up against /his/ for their yearly match. Unfortunately, this also includes /his/'s domination as they took charge of the pitch, snuffing out /mu/'s chances for any counters. Though a goal by MF DOOM at 57 gave the /mu/tants some hope of clawing back from the then 1-2 result, MC Ride was unable to capitalize on a free shot at the net, allowing /his/ to patch up their defense, and send /mu/ home with a 1-5 shellacking. With this result, /mu/ finished 8th, and looks forward to the 2021 Summer Cup.
World Cup 2021
Summer 21 was cancelled, and instead we get a world cup to celebrate 10 years of the 4chan cup. This cup will have no promotion whatsoever and therefore /mu/ didn't really bother with this cup as it didn't look as serious. However against all expectation, /mu/ managed to win all games in the group, having two very enjoyable games against /po/ and /jp/. In the first knockouts game, /mu/ has received a message from none other than viper the rapper, who cheered on /mu/ in a hype video. This was a sign that /mu/ now has to try really hard in this very serious cup. To everyones dismay, they lost immediately after a barn burner 4-4 against /biz/, a game that went all the way to penalties. /mu/ there missed 2 penalties and the last penalty was missed by none other than the player who just reached out to /mu/ to cheer them on, Viper the rapper. PES is self aware and this was one of the biggest signs of it. Since /mu/ stayed elite in winter 21, /mu/ now looks forward to Winter 22.
Winter Cup 2022
With their strong performances in Winter and Summer, /mu/ stayed elite for all of 2021, the first time since 2016. With that mind, they eagerly anticipated Winter 2022. Drawn into the deadliest group, /mu/ would not get a free pass to summer, let alone the knockouts. In the first match against /vr/, an early goal by Jeff Mangum would continue the success that /mu/ enjoyed the previous year. Fortunes fell however as changes by /vr/ allowed them to score 2 goals before the half, putting /mu/ on the backfoot. Unable to form an attack, /mu/ was withered by /vr/ in the second half as well, conceding another goal until tactic changes allowed for /mu/ to put another on the board. Though the attack improved, it was enough to draw the game, ending the match on a 2-3 loss. With the /biz/ /sp/ match after a draw, this meant /mu/ would be eliminated right away if they loss their second match. With that mind, the team played with their lives on the line against /biz/. Besides a single counter loft, correct positioning by the defense would shut out /biz/ out for the entire match, giving the /mu/ offense opportunity to drop 4 goals, 2 by John Lenon in the first half, and then one a piece by Ride and Mangum, with Ride's goal a double kapow that ricocheted off both goalposts before sliding in. This 4-1 victory would keep /mu/ in the tournament and their fate in their own hands, heading into their last match on a simple do not lose and you're in. Unfortunately, that last match was against /sp/, of whom /mu/ had actually never had as an opponent in an official setting. Figured out before the kickoff, /mu/'s attack was effectively shut out, and though the defense seemed like it would hold for the desired draw. Panic changes would start the downward spiral as a massive header by /sp/ put them on the board causing /mu/ to get even less defensive as they started chasing the goal line. After another goal by /sp/, /mu/ pushed even more men forward, giving the center back, Post-Avant Jazzcore an open lane to score for himself, raising hopes for /mu/ and allowing Brother Sport, the default goalhorn, the chance to be played for the first time in at least 2 years. This was soon after extinguished with another /sp/ goal in the 88th minute, effectively closing out the group and sending /mu/ back to the babbies.
Spring Cup 2022
Going into the Spring Babby cup, /mu/ first faced off against /gd/ with a rather weak recent history, but the last match between the two was also infamous for a certain penalty blunder. /gd/ started off with a quick goal and that was really it for this match because /mu/ was unable to penetrate /gd/'s strong defense the entire game. After that was a match against a fairly new team, /vst/, who just came off a very convincing 4-0 win against /b/. /mu/ started off this match with a goal by Talentless Hack, but /vst/ managed to equalize later in the game. However, /mu/ managed to take away the game with two goals late in the game by MC Ride and Jeff Mangum. With a bit of hope, /mu/ faced of /b/ in the logo el classico, but similar to the /gd/ game, /mu/ did not manage to score a single goal and /b/ took away the win with a single through ball in the second half. In the last match against /c/, /mu/ was already confirmed out of the tournament but could still play spoiler against /c/, which they failed miserably at, losing 4-1 to them in a match where absolutely nothing wanted to work despite one goal by John Lennon. With that result, /mu/ finds themselves in pot 5 of autumn and a potential fetus.
Autumn Cup 2022
/mu/ started from the fetus, playing in a weird group with /b/, /bant/ and /jp/. A close advancement was secured here after winning against /bant/, losing to /jp/ and drawing to /b/, getting revenge on /b/ who won against /mu/ in the last cup by going completely defensive late game and eventually costing /mu/ a possible promotion. In the autumn cup proper. /mu/ first faced /vg/, a very highly rated opponent. Somehow, /mu/ fought well here, but in the end it wasn't enough and /mu/ lost in a very close match with 4-3. The next match against /wsg/ was MTV themed, this game ended in a draw, putting /mu/ in a very bad spot. Against /an/ in the final match, /mu/ needed a win, which is what they got in a very tight 2-1 win, advancing to the 5th winter cup in a row, and for the third time in a row going straight to the elites after playing in a fetus. The first knockouts match was against /cm/, who completely destroyed all hopes of /mu/ by getting a very early 3-0 lead. /mu/ fought well, but lost 5-3 in the end. Still being confirmed elite, the winter cup awaits.

Summer Cup 2011

As one of the founding 16 teams, Mu icon.png /mu/'s initial cup run was a huge success. Grouped together with the eventual winner of the tournament, /a/, /mu/ fell to the loser's bracket before making their way through tough opposition from /k/, /x/, /adv/, and /fit/ before once again having to face their now rival /a/. In a dead even game, the match was taken to penalties not once but twice. After 10 intense penalty shots, it was /mu/ who conceded, giving /a/ their first (and only) cup win. /mu/ ended up placing fourth overall.

Winter Cup 2012

Another tournament, another loser's bracket run! In what would be the first game of their rivalry, /k/ took out /mu/ in penalty shots and sent the music hopefuls down to loser's matches. /mu/ absolutely crushed the plebby tastes of /v/ 3 - 0, but fell to the aesthetics of /fit/ in a game which would mean an early exit for /mu/.

Summer Cup 2012

With the cup now growing at a steady rate, many new teams entered into the cup to compete. Now with a proper bracket setup (no more Loser's bracket, yay!), actual manager presence, evolved formations, and team tiers, this cup was truly the start of the 4chan Cup we know today. Sadly and much like Winter's run, this was simply not /mu/'s year. Without a manager, /mu/ faced increasingly difficult opposition from teams who could change sliders and formations and ended their run with three ties. Normally, this sort of performance would see a team out of the cup, but Jesus was with /mu/ that day. As a result of the ever-growing cup, GermanBro announced that soon, there would be two more tournaments per year; the Spring and Autumn Babbies. Lower scoring teams were relegated to the babbies while /ck/, /a/, /mu/, and /fit/ were spared. It's also worth nothing that /mu/ won the Best Goalhorn award this tournament. (The only time this ever happened ever)

Winter Cup 2013

Winter was an excellent time for /mu/ fans. Their board had its first manager, Snorlax !!lXZGaIsEpIg, who seemed fairly... competent. /mu/ were drawn into what would be a nightmare group. Former cup winners /k/ and longtime semifinalist /n/ were set to face /mu/ along with /o/, a team who had escaped the very first Babby Cup. The fear of failure was quickly quelled as /mu/ took their very first game of the season 7 - 1 against the former champions, /k/. That initial success soon fizzled as /mu/ tied both /n/ and /o/, giving /mu/ enough space to reach the round of 16, but only just. In the Ro16, /mu/ would have their first fated run against /wg/, their soon-to-be rivals. /mu/ lost 4 - 1, leaving their initial success against /k/ and tournaments hopes both looking somewhat like a fluke.

Summer Cup 2013

Coming into Summer, the cup was a very changed place. Dragongate was still in the back of everyone's mind, especially that of /mu/'s manager whose previous group held 2 Dragonfag teams. In a bit of cheeky spite, Snorlax had decided to make /mu/'s players hilariously tall due to how often Dragonfag had maligned tall players. This cheeky play had far reaching effects in the cup which are still felt today. Because /mu/ first played with tall players in friendlies, other teams like /wg/, /x/, /b/, /fa/, and /a/ decided tall players were a fantastic idea and set their players to be very tall as well. The reason tall players were so good was only discovered after the cup had begun and changes could not be made. The term Height Abuse had been coined and this cup would be riddled with it.

Now, aren't you glad we addressed the height abuse stuff? So am I!

As /mu/'s group was drawn, it was clear that summer wouldn't be any easier than the previous cups had been. Perennial favourite /toy/ was present, as was newcomer /c/, and the ever-spooky /x/. Through tactics or centimeters (depending on how mad you are), /mu/ made it through the group on 9 points with a GD of 7. These results were so jarring to one manager in particular that he quit the cup completely. (RIP TinkerToy). With a manager, the furthest /mu/ had made it was ro16 and the fear was that /mu/ could easily repeat. In an intense showdown against /h/, /mu/ eked out a one goal win. Finally, /mu/ would play on that glorious last cup Sunday.

The quarter finals match for /mu/ was no easier than the ro16 had been. /mu/ would have to face /int/ this time around, but more than just /int/, Snorlax would have to eliminate his best friend Isa in what both felt was their most challenging game ever. /mu/ won a difficult and very emotional 2 - 0 and was on track to make it to the finals. Next up in the semis, /mu/ defeated /b/ in a close 1 - 0 series and had its ticket to the finals. As fate would have it, /mu/ would once again have to face off against /wg/, the board who eliminated them last cup.

/mu/ vs /wg/ was the unlikely final for sure, though it seemed like /mu/ had the majority of s̶u̶p̶p̶o̶r̶t̶e̶r̶s̶ bandwagonners. The final match went for an incredibly tense 90 minutes without either team being able to score. Going into extra time now, it was Spacecat who found a goal late into the first half of ET which was quickly followed by another by Cunt Destroyer. In the second half of ET, /mu/ answered with a holy goal from Jeff Mangum which, sadly, just came too late. In a cup of Height Abuse, it made sense for /wg/, the tallest team, to win, though this win appeased neither the near 3,000 viewers nor the majority of managers themselves.

Winter Cup 2014

Post-Summer, Snorlax had decided /mu/ needed new blood and began a 6-month endeavor to find new managers. A thread wouldn't go by where Snorlax's cup email, phone number, Skype, or even Motherless weren't linked in a desperate bid to find a successor. Luckily, and just in time, Snorlax found two. Feedback !!+8d1qFKeSP0 and Headbuddy !!JuV2PJrVlWZ were added to the managerial roster. Their first cup was both a test for these new managers and for PES14 as well.

Using poorly modified versions of their Summer 2013 tactics, /mu/ entered the tournament with high hopes and what seemed like an easy group. Newcomer /gd/ joined /u/ and /gif/ as /mu/'s winter opponents. The very first match with /mu/'s new managers ended 2 - 1, a win against /gd/ which positioned /mu/ nicely. Unfortunately, the next few games weren't quite as easy. /mu/ drew the ever pure /u/ and lost to /gif/, ultimately leaving /mu/'s fate out of their own hands once more. In classic style, a miracle was given to /mu/ for their continued faith in Jesus Christ. /gd/'s manager was sacked halfway through the group stage for throwing and /u/ managed to lose their game against a managerless /gd/ which sent both teams out. /mu/ was once again just barely through to the ro16, this time facing off with /h/ who ended their run with a swift yet painful 3 - 1.

All things considered, you could call this tournament a success for /mu/. Both new managers got ample time to get used to the game and somehow managed to stay Elite in the process. With hopes still high, /mu/'s managerial team was hopeful for Summer 2014 where they felt they could win it all.

Summer Cup 2014

It's been dubbed The Summer of Fallen Giants. In group stages, elite teams /sp/, /a/, /wg/, and former winners /trv/, /pol/, and /k/ were eliminated which left not a single former winner in the running. For the first time in a long while, we'd have a confirmed new champion.

/mu/'s group was everything they could have hoped for. The team would be able to show their artistic superiority over /ic/, display continued dominance against /k/, and get the sweetest revenge against /wg/. Managers Feedback !!+8d1qFKeSP0 and Headbuddy !!JuV2PJrVlWZ were battle-ready and /mu/'s first game went off without a hitch. /k/ was defeated 1 - 0 which left /mu/ with a comfortable 3 points heading into their second game against /wg/. While /wg/ were no longer the giants /mu/ had faced in 2013 4chan Summer Cup, /wg/ were able to take an incredibly close series 3 - 2. In one of the most tightly contested groups of all time, /mu/ would need to win against /ic/ or lose their status as the last remaining Elite (teams). Yet another miracle was in store for /mu/ in that final group stage game. /mu/ defender, The List Goes On, scored the only goal of the series which put /mu/ into the ro16, coming first in the group stage and giving /mu/ the title of last remaining Elite.

Talentless Hack sealed /hr/'s fate in this cup's final.

In what was a very unlikely end result, /hr/ defeated /x/ in their semis to deny fans and /mu/ from a Christ vs Antichrist match and leaving us with a /mu/ vs /hr/ finals. While some fans were disappointed with /hr/ vs /mu/, they were anything but disappointed by the game itself. /mu/ player Talentless Hack took an early goal to put /hr/ down a goal much to the crowd's approval. Another /mu/ goal followed later on and rode the 2 - 0 lead the conclusion. /mu/ had finally done won a tournament! More than that, they had proven themselves elite and, in the eyes of many fans, the best team in the 4chan Cup.

Spring Cup 2015

The group stage made /mu/ sweat for their first two victories against /biz/ and /lgbt/. Both matches were tough, but late goals got /mu/ 3-2 victories against those teams. With 4 matches to play instead of 3, /mu/'s fitness was put through a tough test as they drew 2-2 to /jp/ and suffered a shocking 4-1 loss to /soc/ at the end of the group stage. Despite that, the 7 points gathered were enough to get the team bouncing back into a major 4chan cup. In the knockout stages, defending continued to be a problem for /mu/: /g/ took them to extra time before finally losing 4-3, and in the quarterfinals, a managerless /cgl/ eliminated the /mu/tants with a 4-2 win for the Seagulls.

Summer Cup 2015

Despite a shocking loss to robo-/cgl/, /mu/ achieved the goal they set out for from the moment they were sent down to the babbies: Get back to the Elite cup ASAP. But before making their return to the Elite Cup, some changes would need to be made in the /mu/ technical area. With most of the old management dead or MIA, Feedback would need to find some new blood to help out with the Summer campaign. He found help in the form of the old /diy/ manager Sargbot, and newcomer DankEngine. The /mu/tants would be drawn into group C with noted memelords [s4s], a bunch of nerds over at /sci/, and a reunion with their Winter '14 groupmates /gd/. Despite MC Ride striking first against [s4s], the memesters equalized in the 65th minute on a Patrick Bateman goal. Joanna Newsom, standing in for long time /mu/ goalkeeper Merzbow would make 9 saves to keep the former True Elite on equal footing with a team that was beginning to look like it would run away with the group. Final Score: Christians: 2, Atheists: 1. Late game heroics in the /gd/-[s4s] match would go on to influence Group C's overall standings, with a /gd/ victory putting themselves second, and ensuring that /mu/ would top the group.

Mangum celebrates his hat trick against /cm/.

Summer Cup 2016

Frankie Sinatra celebrates a goal against /t/ with his partners.

A spaghetti filled start to this cup led to /mu/ losing 4-2 against the mighty >/n/.

Though relegated once again, the last match was a satisfactory ending note to the cup run.

Wills broken, /mu/ ended their spring run with 0-3 loss and quietly exited from the cup.

With 4 points, /mu/ advanced to the autumn babbies proper.
