| width="80%" align="justify" style="font-size: 90%;" | As one of the /vg/ League's founding members, /dng/ earned its current two stars through winning /vg/ League 2 and /vg/ League 4. Though its roster has changed through the years as metagames have shifted and certain cards entombed themselves on the banlist for years to come, a certain degenerate fire dragon has remained ever-present as team captain, winking ;) in some shape or form from the team's very first game in 2013 to now.
| width="80%" align="justify" style="font-size: 90%;" | When you look at the statistics for /drg/, it just doesn't make sense. Striker HOPE is, despite missing several leagues, the best striker in the League. But it's not just a one-man show. DESPAIR, the other star striker for /drg/ leads the League in assists. Combined, they are the single-most dangerous duo in the League. But that's still not all! Long time goalkeeper and ace in the net Sore wa Chigau Yo! leads the league in Saves.

After a lengthy hiatus from play counting /vg/ League 7 through 12 following a less than stellar performance in the /vg/ Leagues 5 and 6, the team returned reinvigorated with the power of the Sky Striker Ace - Raye in the /vg/ League 13, where they saw their largest win yet in an 8-2 domiantion vs /mggg/ followed by a 6-2 blowout vs /きらら/. Despite their valiant efforts, the team's hopes for that season went down in flames, but the flames in their heart remained ever prosperous.
No one denies they are perhaps the statistically best team to ever take the pitch in the /vg/ League. When Hope, Despair, Monokuma, Sore wa Chigau Yo! and others step on the field, the /drg/ faithful are filled with hope. They know their team and they know their team is damn good.

Since then the team has gone through ups, downs, hiautuses, and qualifiers. Following two abysmal qualifying round performances in the /vg/ Leagues 22 and 23 the team was granted a bye into the /vg/ League 24, though the thread ultimately decided they were uninterested in playing, citing "game too expensive" and "unban zenmaity you faggots". The team will inevitably return, because like their captain Blaster, /DNG/ NEVER DIES.
But there's something missing on the other side of that hope. The most despair-inducing, most awful, tragic event in the /vg/ League: there's still no star to adorn the Hope's Peak Academy crest that the team calls its badge. The closest they ever came was a /vg/ League 13 final lost to {{team away|lzg}}, and they've been chasing that high ever since.

Despite the pain of losing a Final, despite the pain of playing amazingly time and time again to no avail, /drg/ keeps moving forward - this time having revived from what many assumed to be a permanent end, to return and "win" the /vg/ League 24 Qualifiers and hope won't stop there.

When you look at the statistics for /drg/, it just doesn't make sense.

No one denies they are perhaps the statistically best team to ever take the pitch in the /vg/ League. When Hope, Despair, Monokuma, Sore wa Chigau Yo! and others step on the field, the /drg/ faithful are filled with hope. They know their team and they know their team is damn good.

But there's something missing on the other side of that hope. The most despair-inducing, most awful, tragic event in the /vg/ League: there's still no star to adorn the Hope's Peak Academy crest that the team calls its badge. The closest they ever came was a /vg/ League 13 final lost to Lzg icon.png /lzg/, and they've been chasing that high ever since.

Despite the pain of losing a Final, despite the pain of playing amazingly time and time again to no avail, /drg/ keeps moving forward - this time having revived from what many assumed to be a permanent end, to return and "win" the /vg/ League 24 Qualifiers and hope won't stop there.
