GoldSrc or GoldSource (also referred to as "The Half-Life engine") is a heavily modified version of the Quake engine by Valve Software known for revolutionary features like transparent textures, colored lighting & skeletal animation! It hosts many classic FPS games like Ricochet, Day of Defeat & Half-Life. While GoldSrc may not have the physics of the Source engine or the huge improvements of Source 2 it does still stand on it's own with it's solid lineup of games & the best Half-life Game(s).
