Duel links is Konami's answer to the continuous bitching of iliterate Yugioh fans, a simpler, quicker way of dueling. "Free to play" after an initial beta period, the game was first released in Japan on November 17, 2016, and then released to the rest of the world on January 11, 2017. The Windows version was released worldwide via Steam on November 17, 2017.

/dlg/ was created after nostalfags and current TCG/OCG yugioh players couldn't stand each other on the same general, /dng/ anymore and decided to secede founding /dlg/ in January, 2017.
