The /new/remberg Field Curse is a curse regarding the poor performance of /pol/ , /bant/ , and in general the home team playing in this stadium. /pol/ switched to this new stadium for the 2016 4chan Summer Cup but despite a considerable number of games it was unable to win a single match here (at least officially) before /bant/ bought the stadium, made it their new home, and continued the curse.

History

2016 4chan Summer Cup

The inaugural match in this stadium took place on August 6h, 2016 in the 2016 4chan Summer Cup where /pol/ faced /adv/. Unfortunately for /pol/ this would have been remembered as one of the most iconic matches of the cup as /adv/ managed to win 1–8 setting a new record for the biggest win in an official cup match. After blowing a 2-0 lead to /an/ their second match, /pol/ still had the chance to qualify for the 2017 4chan Winter Cup with a big margin win against /lit/ and hoping for /adv/ doing the same with /an/. The game went fine for the first half, as /pol/ was leading 1–0 but it wasn't enough for qualification. During the second half things went for the worst: after a tie, /lit/ was able to complete their comeback and defend the result until the end, marking a 1–2 loss for /pol/.

2016 4chan Autumn Babby Cup

After the humilation of getting the Summer Wooden Spoon, the main aim of /pol/ was coming back to the next elite cup. The first match in the /new/remberg Field was against /n/. This was one of the worst performances ever seen in the 4chan Cup by both sides: /n/ managed to win 0–1 with a single shot on target, meanwhile /pol/ had a distressing 1(0) for shots. Unlike the Summer Cup, /pol/ was able to get a sweet revenge with /lit/ winning their second match, played away, giving themselves the chance to change their destiny in the last match in their stadium. But once again the away team, /h/, got an astonishing win with the result of 0–5.

2017 4chan Spring Babby Cup Qualifiers

Because of their big loss in the last match and /lit/'s win against /n/, /pol/ finished in the last place of the group with 3 points falling into the fetus. Due to the fetus's format, the top three teams of each group would earn promotion to the 2017 4chan Spring Babby Cup. There were a lot of expectations for /pol/ before and after the draw. For the 3rd consecutive time, /pol/ had the home advantage in two of their three games, but this page is called "/new/remberg Field Curse" for a reason: after an enjoyable match with /co/, /pol/ marked another loss at home, failing the last attack and giving to /co/ a deadly counter for the final result of 2–4. Their performance became even worse in the second match as /trv/ got a clear 0–3 win. Rumors about /pol/'s stadium started to spread and this may be the fact that lead the /sci/'s manager to play their last home game against /pol/ right in the /new/remberg Field. After just few minutes /sci/ got the lead with a long range shot by Richard Feynman, but /pol/ did not give up and found the tie at the beginning of the second half. With another Richard Feynman goal, /sci/ got the lead back, before Hitler scored a brace. /pol/ gave everything in order to get a third goal which would have meant a promotion and consequently the /sci/ abortion, but the final result said 2–2 with /pol/ reaching the lowest point of their history, "winning" another Wooden Spoon.

2017 4chan Autumn Babby Cup Qualifiers

After some discussion about a possible comeback to a megababby, /merit/ stated that there was not enough time for a radical change like this, since the idea came up just some days before the fetus's draw. /pol/ had to face the ghosts of another abortion with a lot of pressure from their horrible performance in the last cups. The draw was pretty unlucky with /pol/ facing some other big teams that fall down as well to the fetus like /mlp/ and /b/ and an insidious autopilot team, /cm/. This time /pol/ had only one game to play in the home stadium and in the end it resulted in a lost 1–2 to the autopilot /cm/. Despite this never ending curse, /pol/ managed to get the third place in the group and the promotion to the 2017 4chan Autumn Babby Cup where they will have at least one chance to put an end to this curse.

2017 4chan Autumn Babby Cup

/pol/ played the last match of their group in their home stadium after already gaining the qualification to the 2018 4chan Winter Cup. Once again the match with /n/ wasn't exciting at all and ended without goals. Despite not breaking the curse that was still a step forward: for the first time /pol/ didn't lose while playing as the home team and managed to get a clean sheet. By topping the group, /pol/ hope to break the curse in the Round of 16 continuing their way to the Third Reich Trophy. They didn't, losing on benuldies to /tg/.

2018 4chan Winter Cup

Much like last cup, /pol/ played their last group stage match at /new/remberg after having already qualified for the knockout stage. Hoping to spoil /toy/, who only needed a draw to advance, they tried their hardest to break the curse. It's STILL not broken. Despite Hitler scoring a brace, /pol/'s defense played like they were looking ahead to the knockouts and gave their old white whale two goals for a 2–2 draw. /toy/ advanced on three draws. /pol/ lost the Round of 16 match they hosted against /tg/ 1–3. Having tired of the curse, /pol/ management announced post-match they would seek a new home ground for 2018 Summer.

2018 4chan Summer Cup (/pol/)

In their second consecutive elite cup, /pol/ was supposed to play its home games in a brand new stadium, however for a series of unfortunate events, /pol/ was forced to play once again at /new/remberg vs. /sp/. After a heartbreaking start with /sp/ scoring two goals in 20 minutes, /pol/ immediately reduced the gap to a single goal lead with the captain Hitler. In the second half /pol/ tried its best to end the last game on this stadium with at least a draw, but the efforts weren't enough and a bad shot accuracy led /pol/ to another home loss. This zero point game, combined with the away loss to /sci/, condemned /pol/ to be relegated in the 2018 4chan Autumn Babby Cup before the last group stage match. In the very first game on the new stadium, /pol/ in the High Castle, /pol/ managed to get a home win after two and half years.

2018 4chan Summer Cup (/bant/)

The history of /new/remberg Field continued under the name of ImpTrash Dump as /bant/ decided to buy /pol/'s stadium ignoring all the warnings about the curse. This courage has been rewarded with a 1–6 loss to /tg/ in the first home game, adding another victim for the New Stadium Curse marking also the second biggest lost in a game on a new stadium, only behind the 1–8 in the /new/remberg Field. After this match, /bant/ management decided to use a random stadium for the upcoming Round of 16, however /bant/ failed to advance to the final day, losing 0–2 to /sp/.

2019 4chan Winter Cup

Despite their misfortune with the stadium in Summer, /bant/ decided to continue using the ImpTrash Dump as their stadium. Once again, they lost, 2–4 to a /biz/ seeking its first Elite Cup victory. Another team used the ImpTrash Dump as its temporary home too: /b/ were forced to move to the cursed stadium as a result of both their own stadium and their opponent /tv/'s stadium crashing PES. /b/ managed to do the unthinkable and win in /new/remberg as a home team; it wasn't even close either, with the final score being 5–1. /bant/ failed to break the curse as the actual occupants of the ImpTrash Dump in their final match against /vp/, again losing 2–4 and taking the Cup's wooden spoon.

In the 2017 4chan Spring Babby Cup Qualifiers the streamer forgot to change the stadium after /pol/'s match, so the game between /trv/ and /sci/ took place at /new/remberg Field. The match ended with a 1–1 draw, continuing the streak of non-winning for the home team playing at the stadium.

There were three other games played in the /new/remberg Field, one involving /pol/ directly: in the Tag Team Cup 3, /bol/ played one home match in this stadium losing 2–4 to /dtoy/. The other match was in the /pol/eague 1 where /fsg/ managed to win 3–2 against /sng/, the only time where the home team was able to win in this stadium. /pol/ finally got their first win in /new/remberg during the first day of the World Wars II Cup II as the away team against /tv/, eventually beating /sci/ in the final as the home team.
