/p/ is the photography board of 4chan. The team was formed in March of 2016 and competed in five consecutive cups before being eliminated in The Cull due to a decline in board interest and eventually coming back. A scrappy team, they play with spirit and channel the power of saturation onto the pitch.

History
Despite being one of the oldest boards on 4chan /p/ did not gain entry into the 4chan Cup until Spring of 2016 when multiple /p/ users shitposting about a /p/ team realized that there were enough of them to warrant a team being created.
Eventually a thread on /p/ was formed showing organic interest and support where team colors, logo, opening roster, anthem, etc. Most importantly a /p/ homegrown manager was established in the thread who quickly went onto charm Lear into allowing /p/ into the 2016 Spring Babby Cup Qualifiers, despite much pushback from many shitposters on /4ccg/.
2016 Spring Babby Cup Qualifiers
/p/ was slotted into Group C - with /y/, /trv/ and /t/. /p/ played it's first match ever against /y/ - where Gearfag notched the first goal in /p/ history. Eventually /y/ would tie it up and end the game draw. /p/ responded big time in the following match against /t/ - putting 4 goals up and gaining the critical 3 points. Captain Ken Rockwell put up a hat trick and Crush the Blacks got the game winner. On the 3rd and final Matchday of the Qualifiers, /y/ and /t/ tied, causing /p/ to clinch top 2 and qualification into the full babby cup, no matter the results against /trv/. /p/ went onto face /trv/ in a match that meant little but for pride. Despite a pair of early goals for /trv/, the Gearaffes snagged a draw from the jaws of defeat in a back and forth 3-3 game.
/p/ ended the group with 1 win and 2 draws. 8 goals for and 7 goals against.
2016 Spring Babby Cup
/p/ has grouped with fellow 2004 board /b/, spooky /x/ and /vp/. The first match of the group pitted /p/ against /b/ in the "Snap and Shit" 04 Derby. Resize your Shit started off the day with the goal, followed by Gearfag and then two by Ken Rockwell, giving /p/ a comfortable 4-2 win. A few days later with qualification to Summer 2016 at stake, /p/ took on /x/ at the void. /x/ took a 2-0 lead at 55th minute and despite some pressure, things looked bleak for Gearaffes, however, Crush the Blacks would net one at 67' to pull within one, setting up one of the best comebacks of the tournament. /p/ desperately drove forward, trying to get the equalizer that would put them in better position to qualify, and at the 90th minute Ken Rockwell found the ball sitting in the box and zoomed it pass the keeper to make the match level, but Rockwell was not done. In the dying 4 minutes of stoppage /p/ intercepted the ball after kickoff, bringing a wide attack on and with a few nice passes got it to Captain Clutch Ken Rockwell in the 90th+4 to give /p/ an amazing 3-2 win, securing their place in the playoff and Summer 2016 Elite Cup. /p/ ended Group Play clinched and facing a /vp/ side that shut them out 3-0, giving /p/ it's first loss. /p/ shook it off and readied itself against /r9k/. Missed chances by /p/ and less then stellar defense pushed /p/ out of the cup with a 6-3 loss.
Despite the last two results /p/ looks onto the 2016 Summer Cup with high hopes for the elites.
Rockwell celebrates his 90th minute tying goal vs /x/, turning his backs to the amateur photographers using zoom lenses. Minutes later he'd score at 90+4 for the game winner to send /p/ to Summer.
2016 Summer Cup
The 2016 Summer Cup offered the debut in the elite's for /p/. /p/ was grouped with /f/ /r9k/ and /s/ in group E. /p/ faced /f/ for their elite debut, handily taking the win with a 5-3 victory. /p/ went onto face /r9k/ in what at the time was the highest scoring game in 4CC history. Multiple goal leads were gained and blown by both teams, Gearfag notched 4 goals but /p/ fell to a surging /r9k/ 8-5. On the final day of group play /p/ had the opportunity to move forward with a win against declining /s/ but wasn't able to focus and missed the shot, giving them a depressing 5-3 loss to allow /f/ to move forward into the Round of 16.
Despite not moving forward and being sent back to the Babbys /p/ had an entertaining and competitive cup and defied most predictions of Golden Spoons.

2016 Autumn Babby Cup Group Stage
For the 2016 Autumn Babby Cup, /p/ was put into Group H with /his/, /wg/ and /int/. The first game featured a matchup of two newcomers to the Cup, as /p/ faced the far less successful /his/. The game was a back and forth barnburner, two goals by Gearfag and Ken Rockwell gave /p/ as 4-3 lead. Late in the game in the 88th minute, a decent push by /p/ ended in a keeper throw by /his/ goalie Julius Caesar was intercepted and volleyed into the net in one of the most hilarious goals in 4cc history. Amazingly a 90+er by /his/ made this goal the game winner, giving /p/ a huge win and 3 points in Group H. /p/'s next match put them against a former elite cup champion, /wg/. Captain Ken Rockwell started the match in the 9th minute with a goal from Gearfag, quickly following up with another one at 15'. /wg/ got within a goal but Kai chipped in for his first /p/ goal. /p/ exploded at the half with Ken Rockwell running away with 3 goals giving him 5 on the night for an easy 6-2 win that would bring them into the 2016 Winter Cup. /p/ faced /int/ in the final game of the group stage, a tense 1-1 game ended with a last second goal by Go Outside giving them the 9 points and first in group.
2016 Autumn Babby Cup Knockout Rounds
/p/'s first match against /n/ saw themselves up early on a Ken Rockwell goal, the game would stay 1-0 until Ken Rockwell doubled his efforts at the 77th minute, enough for /p/ to get a 2-1 and bring themselves passed the Round of 16 for the first time ever. The Gearaffes would be slotted against tournament favorite /tv/ in the quarterfinals and in a back and forth, thrilling match match /p/ took a hat trick from golden boot winner Ken Rockwell and a 90+4 goal from Go Outside to snap their way into the semi-finals. /p/ looked onto /vr/ in yet another thrilling, Gearfag, Crush the Blacks, and Kai would contribute goals but the timely debut goal for Megapickles would send them to the finals at the 115th minute in extra time.
In the finals /p/ would face /jp/ and ultimately fall short of glory. Despite dominating nearly 70% of possession /jp/'s counter attack prooved too much and /p/ would fall 3-1 in the finals. Despite dropping the finals /p/ looks to continue the amazing run into the 2017 Winter Cup.
Ken Rockwell would end up with the Golden Boot and F-Stop would take home the Golden Glove in the 2016 Autumn Babby Cup.
Go Outside sends /tv/ outside with a 90+4 winner - one of the many thrilling finishes and moments for /p/ in the 2016 Autumn Babby Cup.
2017 Winter Cup
The first cup on a new version of PES that did not reward hyper-aggressive tactics the way that 16 did yielded /p/'s poorest cup performance. In between two losses, a vigorous back-and-forth draw against /b/ allowed the team to narrowly avoid the Wooden Spoon. But hey, F-Stop tackled FUG so hard he got carded for it! That was pretty fun.
2017 Spring Babby Cup
After middling performances against /t/ and /adv/ using a Zona Mista tactic that was devised by the manager just hours before the deadline, /p/ managed a 2-0 win against /po/ to secure themselves the coveted 17th place in the cup. This marked the end of the yo-yo, and the /p/ team was (along with two of the three other teams in the group) put to rest after the cup was completed.
2017 Autumn Babby Cup
/p/ came back from their rest in time for Autumn with a revamped roster and comically offensive 3-3-4 tactics. These tactics brought back /p/'s goalscoring prowess, however they also brought back the bad defending, leading to /p/ blowing a 2-1 lead against /o/ and failing to capitalize on their comeback from 2-0 down against /fit/. A win over eventual wooden spoon /ck/ prevented /p/ from bottoming the group.
2018 Spring Babby Cup
With the Megababby brought back and /p/ finally getting a new manager, /p/ had an impressive start with an upset win over /sp/ thanks to Ken Rockwell converting a penalty kick and a dominating win over /wsg/. Against a /i/ staring at the unwanted record of longest winless streak, Ansel Adams put in an early blooter, but a late game /i/ rally cost /p/ one (and nearly three) points. With /sp/ surging, /p/ needed to at least draw /vg/ to secure their spot in Summer; it looked like that would happen after the first half, but again late game rallying killed /p/ as /vg/ took the top spot in the group for themselves. /p/ would still advance if /sp/ failed to beat /vg/ in their next match, but /sp/ won and /p/ got another 17th place finish.
2018 Summer Cup
Despite their late stumbles in Spring, /p/ still finished 17th and eventually got into the Summer Cup anyway thanks to >/soc/ being too busy partying to show up. Unlike most /p/ runs, this one wasn't too memorable due to two 0-0 draws, one against /vr/ to start the group stage and another against /h/ to end it. /p/ did win a match, 2-1 against /lit/, which did create some history: /p/ became the first team ever to fail to advance from an official cup's (4-team) group stage with 5 points.
2018 Autumn Babby Cup
Another one of /p/'s less memorable runs, this time thanks to them being eliminated early with months-old tactics. All /p/ could manage were consolation goals against /3/ and /lit/, but they did get a consolation victory over future semifinalists /w/.
