DAMMIT /v/ YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING RIGHT DO YOU EVEN PLAY GAEMS WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK??????

Despite having a large fanbase and being one of the founding teams of the 4chan Cup, the city of /v/ has never had that much success in actually playing the game of association football. After earning themselves a quick exit from their first three Cups, /v/ was relegated to the Babby Cup. With the PESbro era over, many wondered if the team would ever claw its way out of the Babbies. But a Candidate (#2, to be specific) emerged with a slightly-changed roster and revitalized the depressed team. Even though /v/ met an unfortunate end in the second round due to Ultros spaghetti, they qualified for Winter. Though this success was not long-lived, not in the same way - a week or two before the 2013 Winter Cup, Candidate #2 retired. People laughed when the new manager, Exec, tried to post a change to his export minutes after the deadline. Those critics were silenced when /v/ topped their group, facing off against juggernaut squads like /ck/ and /d/. The incredible performance continued getting fourth at '13 Summer in spite of height abuse, and the manager being unable to livemanage during most of the knockouts. Winter '14 didn't go as fans had hoped, but managing to avoid relegation was a prize in and of itself.

Then everything went to hell for /v/ once again in the 2014 4chan Summer Cup. Not only was /v/ relegated, the disaster of relegation came at the hands of /vg/.

A disastrous Autumn campaign led to /v/'s worst performance ever, with no wins, only one draw, and placing 39th out of 40 in the entire Autumn Babby Cup, only above >former Elite Cup champions /trv/. Since then /v/ have been permanently stuck in the Babbies, with only one win in eight matches under new management. For what seemed like eternity for a shrinking /v/ fanbase petty glory was finally obtained in the 2016 Spring Cup Qualifiers called the fetus by many this would be /v/'s first steeping stone back to relevance. The 2016 4chan Spring Babby Cup proved to be reawakening of the vidya board, for the first time ever /v/ master raced a group, but not just any group but one so called "group of death." With this the naysayers and shitposters were finally silenced . The RO16 was a success with a 1-0 victory for the /v/idya against /o/. The quarter finals ended in a 3-1 victory against /v/'s rival /sp/, a second triumph. It had been three years since /v/ stood at any semifinal, unfortunately it ended with an even worse result, with a very spainful defeat, /v/'s star was sent flying into a collision course with an arguably even more autistic /r9k/, However even with a good game /v/ was defeated at the hands of more robots in a 4-3 thriller. Ranking fourth was a sweet pill for a depressed /v/ fanbase and management staff. With that the Spring campaign was over /v/ would qualify for the 2016 4chan Summer Cup its first elite in two years.

At first the prospect of a similar performance to the previous cup seemed unlikely especially given the group, but like 2016 4chan Spring Babby Cup /v/ surprised everyone, and even itself. The group was by no means a cake walk or master race ending in 6-6-6-0 tragedy for /v/'s arch-rival, yet beating the 2016 4chan Winter Cup's champion certainly helped legitimatize /v/'s presence as an elite team. The RO16 match ended in a 3-2 victory against the /d/eviants. Quarter finals saw a similar success with a 2-0 victory against /e/. /v/ stood at semis once again against a familiar opponent last faced in the spring round of 16, /o/. Unfortunately for the /v/idya it truly turned out to be >/o/'s year. The third place trophy beckoned, yet it seems that fate did not favor /v/ as more robots stood in their way. The game ended in a 4-3 victory for the /m/echas, coincidentally this was the same scoreline in /v/'s spring third place game. Even though the 2016 4chan Summer Cup was widely considered shitty /v/irgins took solace that the newly revived /v/ team could hold out in an elite competition. /v/ qualified for the 2017 4chan Winter Cup and with it enter a brand new PES.

The 2017 4chan Winter Cup was a Pyrrhic victory for /v/, while advancing to the 2017 4chan Summer Cup the board lost much pride by losing to /vp/ in the group stages, even with this shameful defeat /v/ manged to defeat historical rival, /b/ and >/p/ allowing them to advance. Unfortunately the /v/idya was finally defeated by its rival, perfidious /sp/. With this defeat /v/ advanced to a new elite, where they failed to win a match, blowing a 2-0 lead against /f/, shamefully drawing /vg/, and then losing to /tv/ to get relegated. They then proceeded to get further embarrassed in the 2017 4chan Autumn Babby Cup, only managing a one goal win against /out/ (the one goal was pretty fucking great though) before losing to /sp/ AGAIN and blowing an early lead to an autopilot /cm/. /v/ went back to stealing their neighbors' tactics in the 2018 4chan Spring Babby Cup, with disastrous results as they crashed out with 3 draws (to /wg/, /fa/, and /lgbt/) and a humiliating 3-0 loss (to eventual cup champion /e/). In the 2018 4chan Autumn Babby Cup, they couldn't even get out of the fucking fetus. They got closer to coming out of the darkness a cup later, then yo-yo'd for long enough that they eventually won a Tsun-Derby, and then lost one of the best runs ever in devastating fashion after ripping apart all of /w/, /his/, /tv/, and /pw/ prior. They weren't even supposed to be there! One question has been answered, but many more remain. Will /v/ ever place higher than fourth? /v/'s 2022 4chan Winter Cup campaign started before their first match - because they were 17th place in their previous elite run and were, as such, not meant to be there. However, after /diy/ failed to provide anons that could provide their interest themselves, /v/ made it back to the elites using 17th-place abuse - which cast some doubt on whether the board actually belonged there. Their first match constituted a clash of ideals - Those that touch grass in /out/ and those that don't in /v/. After a ludicrous save from Rin Shima jumping in front of /out/'s own keeper (with lots of feet and ass shots), there was some procedural football up until Anon decided to toot his happy floote at the 30th minute, to put /out/ up 1-0. After 40 minutes of nonsense, /v/ equalized as Sanic decided to finish Green Hill Zone and actually score a goal at the 66th (nice) minute. But Sanic wasn't done, after some tactical changes, Sanic decided he would pull /v/ ahead at the 81st minute with a FAST free kick - and ensure the match would end 2-1 in /v/'s favour...but it wouldn't. Colossal amounts of bullshit were traded both ways, including a famous No Fun Allowed own goal, as well as a 90+1 from Todd Howard and a 90+5(!) from Smokey to ensure this crazy match ended up a fookin draw at 3-3.

With 1 point earnt after an absolute shitshow of a game, /v/ looked to do the most logical thing - dab on some noobs and gain some respect from the masses. Spoiler alert: they did just that. There is very little to talk about /v/'s other 2 group stage matches - as they completely ruined /w/ in a 6-2 win with a Todd-Trick, as well as humbled /his/ with a 3-0 shutout - primarily due to the blue hedgehog (with a little help from a little loss). With this result, /v/ were comfortably through to the knockouts having topped their group.

Their first knockouts matchup was against /tv/ - as the fa/tv/irgins tried to prove that movies and television are the best way to use a screen. Spoiler alert - this did NOT end well for /tv/. After some early anti-Italian discrimination against Watch it Chrissy, /v/ proceeded to absolutely stomp /tv/ with a double brace by Sanic in 20 in game minutes (with the final goal coming at 45+6 in the first half!!!), leaving /tv/ completely ruined by the time Dante sank the fifth goal at 53 minutes.

With that mild annoyance out of the way, /v/ was rolling into their top 8 match with revenge on their mind - namely, against the team that had sent them into elite-babby limbo in the first place - /pw/. Whilst /pw/ had been consistent allies of /v/, even extending to a Tag-Team cup pairing, this was the knifes edge - and only one team could claim dominance. After some good defensive work by /pw/, Todd just decided that he would score that goal after an errant defender spaghetti at 31 minutes. This was followed almost immediately by Dante featuring Dante off the GK at the 37th minute, and /v/ were in a comfortable lead. After some tense football with an on point No Way Fag, /pw/'s hopes were finally swallowed by Dante - as the storm approached them, and nixxed their cup hopes. Even a compensation goal from the Hulkster at 87 minutes could not dampen the joy that /v/ felt from exorcising their previous demons, and they were now moving onto a very deserved (and rare), semi-final appearance.

Tsundere Bowl /a/ and /v/ have a difficult relationship. Both are one of the oldest 4chan boards and while quite a few /a/ followers enjoy the vidya (especially JRPGs) and plenty of /v/irgins watch animu (even though they never admit it), wee/a/boos are frowned upon when spotted by /v/irgins. As fate would have it, /v/ were drawn in a group of death for the 2016 4chan Summer Cup along with /a/, getting these teams in a match for the first time since 2012. /v/ had won a single match against /a/ until meeting them at their very worst, finally defeating them 4-3 in the 2021 4chan Autumn Babby Cup.

Pokeyman Bowl /v/ rightfully disowned his son, /vp/, at a young age. /vp/ have never really forgiven their parents and just want to beat them at every opportunity. While some say that /v/ had more games until they kicked out /vp/, a quick look into /vp/ shows how little of this is true.
