/vp/ F.C., the virtual divegrass team representing 4chan's /vp/ - Pokémon board, has one goal, and one goal only: to be the very best -- like no one ever was. Historically an underperforming team, /vp/'s form had consistently improved since their first legitimate ticket to the Elites -- and with a trophy on their shelf, /vp/ is always ready to prove they're nothing if not dedicated to the lofty goal of Pokémon Master, whether their path to it be through Karenfagging their way in with their favorites, or autistically breeding that perfect 31-IV team.

But though /vp/ may stumble and fall, a real Pokémon Master does not fall into despair, nor give up on their dreams, no matter what challenges are in store. Winter is on the horizon, and the Victory Road is within sight.

/v/ - The Vidya Derby	/vp/, created to stop Pokémon threads from overwhelming /v/ after the release of HeartGold and SoulSilver, doesn't really have a good relationship with their progenitor board. Some might argue that /v/ had more games until they kicked /vp/ out, but that's debatable. The fact alone that /vp/ exists doesn't really help things, because now that Pokémon has a board all to itself, all the unsavory elements have broken loose: waifufags, furries, and general autism. When it comes down to it, though, neither board in this rivalry can claim the high ground, because they're honestly both cancer in equal portions. The first meeting between these two was a friendly, one which /v/ won 2-0; /vp/ went on to decisively win the next match-up 3-0 in a game that led to the first hat-trick of the 2017 4chan Winter Cup, before taking /v/ down with them three years later with a 3-2 win.

/vr/ - Nostalgia Derby	Don't get me wrong, retro games are ABSOLUTELY RADICAL -- it's just that for the record, Pokémon Red and Blue were, objectively speaking, a fucking horrible, glitch-ridden mess. Unfortunately, the genwunners don't seem to have gotten the memo. Thing is, nostalgiafaggotry is frowned upon on /vp/ as discounting the improvements of later generations, or plain denial of reality, and when you have /vr/ -- a board literally made of nostalgiafaggotry, something's bound to go on a terrible collision course. /vp/ and /vr/ have met two times: a 3-2 victory for /vp/ in the 2013 Summer Cup Friendlies, followed by a 1-0 strikeback from /vr/ in the following Summer.
