Rivalries

The Wallpapers Derby The founding of new comer team /w/, the anime wallpaper board, saw that /wg/ finally had a team to be considered as a rival. With both wallpaper boards getting drawn into Group B of the 2014 Autumn Babby Cup, the first ever Wallpaper Derby took place. In one of the most exciting matches in that tournament, /wg/ looked to be coming out with a win. To everyone's amazement, /w/ turned around the result scoring twice in the last five minute, leaving victorious on a 3-2 win. However, /wg/ got the last laugh that cup. On the final day they earned promotion, a result that ended with /w/ just missing out on their first ever Elite Cup. The two teams came together as one to participate in the Tag Team Cup to create /wu/, Wallpapers United. In classic /wg/ fashion, they won, once again securing the title of Greatest Of All Teams in the name of the Wallpapers. [to be updated]

The True Champion Bowl Okay so basically /mu/ was some salty-ass bitches after /wg/ schmacked em in the round of 16, winter '13, and so /wg/ decided to make em learn what it means to hurt, and did em doggy-style, snatching the star in the next elite cup right from /mu/'s melon-loving asses in the final. Then /wg/ beat em again in summer '14 just because they were there and /wg/ was like, "lol, why not." Then later /mu/ finally beat /wg/ in some cup no one cares about and /mu/ was so excited that the entire base of fans, mangers, and players creamed their collective jeans in a piercing, childish squee, referencing some lame screamo song about some old book that also no one cares about. Things returned to normal when /wg/ trounced /mu/ in [TBD].

Trivia

• To this day, /wg/ still holds the record for having the worst defeat ever: 10-0 against /f/ in a friendly.
• In the 2012 4chan Autumn Babby Cup, the team took part in a scandal that was named "Wardrobe Malfunction." /wg/ had already qualified for the 2013 4chan Winter Cup with one matchday remaining in the group. To avoid having medal players injured or tired, they were all rested in the final match against /vp/. This led to much speculation about rigging, as /wg/ proceeded to lose 4-0 to /vp/. Combined with /fa/'s manager (who was supposedly out on a date) arrogantly instructing Germanbro to rest his gold players against /po/, this led to several laughs and anal devastation over what had just transpired.
  • This was later revealed to be a missing chapter of Dragongate - basically, /fa/'s manager turned out to be the Preston (a former /vp/ manager) with a different name. In short, he got control of /vp/ back from "Gallow" and was actually controlling both /fa/ and /vp/ in the same cup. This is why the result of /wg/ vs /vp/ is nullified in match records, along with /po/ vs /fa/ in the respective team histories.
• After the 2013 4chan Summer Cup, /wg/ became the first ever team to win both a Babby Cup and an Elite Cup, and the first to hold both cups at the same time.
• Before the cup regulated height, /wg/ was the tallest team in any official competition.
• /wg/ was Nuevo Elite for almost 2 years, between the 2012 4chan Autumn Babby Cup and the 2014 4chan Summer Cup.
• /wg/ holds the record longest winning streak in cup history, it lasted for 12 games.
• Cunt Destroyer won the most Golden Boots in the cup with 3, and also holds the record of most goals scored in a single cup with 13 goals in the 2012 4chan Autumn Babby Cup.
• /wg/ earned a cup medal each year in the first three years of their existence: 1st Place in Autumn 2012, 1st Place in Summer 2013, and 3rd place in Autumn 2014.
