The 2012 4chan Autumn Babby Cup's Group H contains one of the most experienced competitors of all the boards, /b/. /r9k/ are the other team with tournament history, while /vg/ and /u/ will hope to make a mark on their first competitions.
Summary
Matchday 1
An unfortunate accident led to /b/ being run with an incorrect formation and player stats. The show had to go on nonetheless, and they played out a 1-1 draw with /vg/. DesWOW was the scorer for the Generals in the first half, and Triforce delivered the a spectacular equaliser for /b/ - a piledriver from the corner of the penalty area slammed the far post and deflected in.
The final game of the first round of group stage games was a memorable affair. /u/ were foiled by an own goal from Feito-chan, much to their manager's annoyance. A Homuhomu brace was insufficient to save face and the Neckbears took the win with two more goals from Japanese Lettuce Hardcore and Robot9001.
Matchday 2
After being re-rigged by GermanBro, /b/ came on to the field once again to fight for their honor. Japanese Lettuce Hardcore immediately shoved a ball down their throat in the 5th minute, then followed it up with another in the 2nd half just as /b/ thought it was going somewhere. Now /b/ is on the brink of elimination.
It was a sign of things to come when /vg/ opened the game with a warning shot that dinged off the trollpost in the first 3 minutes. Erika Hartmann managed to raise /u/'s spirits with an early goal, but DesWOW proved too much for /u/ to handle while /u/'s attackers squandered several opportunities to add to their score. /u/ manager Gracen is currently on suicide watch.
Matchday 3
DesWOW gave /vg/ the lead in first half injury time, though the Neckbears came out roaring in the second half and Robot9001 scored a brace to give /r9k/ the lead by the hour mark. New Thread brought things level but Japanese Lettuce Hardcore got a goal to give /r9k/ their third win and maintain their perfect record going into the Round of 16.
The football was flaccid and uninspiring, Gracen "didn't care", but /u/ did earn their first point of the campaign and prevented /b/ from advancing any further.
