The Founding Babbies is the name given to the 18 teams formed after the 2012 4chan Winter Cup. The Founding Babbies were the third wave of new teams, and the largest mass founding to date. Due to the prodigious amount of new clubs, the 4chan Cup Committee introduced the Babby Cups to serve as a relegation league for the 4chan Cup. Each of these teams would compete in the 2012 4chan Spring Babby Cup alongside four other teams remade after the Second Founding, for the right to move into the Top Tier.

- As of the conclusion of the 2020 4chan Spring Babby Cup, 6 different Founding Babbies have won cups (4 Elite Cups and 8 Babbies).
- As of the conclusion of the 2020 4chan Spring Babby Cup, the Founding Babbies have 31 "medal" finishes; 12 first place finishes, 7 second place finishes, and 12 third place finishes. In addition, /mlp/ are one of only three teams to have legitimately won multiple Elite Cups, while /pol/ are tied with them for the most titles in the 4chan Cup with three (/mlp/ have won two Elites and one Babby, /pol/ one Elite and two Babbies) and have the most "medal" finishes in the Cup at 6(six).
