Golden Spoon II: The Wrath of Spoon
Golden Spoon III: The Search for Spoon

Long ago in a distant land, I, PLACEHOLDER, the game-rigging master of aesthetics, unleashed an unmoddable Pro Evolution Soccer 2018. But a foolish invitational tournament, wielding a magic ruleset, stepped forth to oppose me. Before final blow was struck, I tore open a portal in time and flung him into the future, where my A E S T H E T I C is law! Now the fool seeks to return to the past, and undo the future that is PLACEHOLDER!

Signups

Any official 4CC team is eligible to sign up. At most 16 teams will play in the tournament. Signups close at the beginning of September.

Rules

Official cup rules as of the 2018 4chan Summer Cup apply, with the following changes:

Tournament Structure

  • Advancement is based upon losses rather than wins.
    • In the group stage, points are given as follows: 3 points for a loss, 1 point for a draw, and 0 points for a win.
    • In the event of a tie, the team with the lower GD advances; in case of a GD tie, the higher GA advances, because goalfests are superior to slurpfests.
    • In the knockout stage, the loser advances.

Game Settings

  • The game will be played in Pro Evolution Soccer 2018.
  • Injuries will be turned up to maximum.
  • Player emotions will be turned on.

Squad

  • Players have a minimum rather than a maximum number of cards:
    • Goalkeepers can have at least one card.
    • Regular players can have at least two cards.
    • Silver players can have at least three cards.
    • Gold players can have at least four cards.
    • Players in the bottom height bracket have one additional minimum card.
  • All players must have minimum injury resistance.

Tactical Restrictions

  • Medals must be on the pitch if they are not suspended due to cards.
  • All players must be in position.
  • Each team may use man-marking on at most two players at any one time.
  • The Counter Target advanced instruction may not be used on CBs.
