In retrospect, however -- /jp/ and /sp/ never really had a chance. At least, not when /vp/ had a true master of the coinflip on their side: Smogonsword! Though he started out as a midfielder and then a centerback for the team, management soon realized that his 150 / 150 mixed offenses didn't flourish well in those positions, and so eventually Smogonsword would change to Shield Forme and become the reliable alternative whenever main goalkeeper Gotta Catch 'Em All felt under the weather. One of the last lines of defense in /vp/'s deep defensive lines this Winter, Smogonsword would go on to rack up nine saves of his own -- along with Gotta Catch 'Em All's seventeen, the duo's defense would add up to the most saves per team this Cup in support of a spot on the podium. As the living embodiment of "skillful" play himself, we can be sure /vp/ will stay in the Cup's Ubers tier as long as his mighty King's Shield guards the net.

Germany was having trouble, what a sad, sad story

Needed a new leader to restore its former glory

Where, oh, where was he? Where could that man be?

We looked around -- and then we found -- the man for you and me!

...in any case, it may not be springtime, but /pol/ is back! And there's no better striker to herald the return of a /pol/arizing stalwart than the Führer himself. After all, at a time where Moonman was too busy leading right-wing death squads to sniff out undesirables in the locker rooms, and Alex Jones was too busy being addled by the chemicals in the water to shoot on target, who persevered and brought home the trophy for /pol/?

Natürlich niemand anderes als der Führer.

Behind Hitler all /pol/ follows.

Before him, the Winter Cup, and tomorrow, the world.
