| width="80%" align="justify" style="font-size: 90%;" | Picture this: you're containment for a containment board, you don't even have a Cup team, and people seem to think you don't even have the culture to make one of your own. And even if you did, you'd be a perma-Babby shitter, wouldn't you?
| width="80%" align="justify" style="font-size: 90%;" | It's only :/i/, they said.

But when the board in question is /bant/? Only one thing is for sure: expectations are meant to be subverted.
Coming into the tournament, it had been 3 years since /i/ had won a game in an official 4cc match. In their previous 18 matches, they had 0 wins, 4 draws, and 14 losses, permanently stuck in the Babby Cup or Qualifiers during this span. The goal for /i/ was clear, just win a goddamn game.

Though board interest in playing in the Cup sprouted as early as two weeks after hiroshimoot breathed life into the board, /bant/ would only officially join the Cup roster nearly a full year later—and what day better to shitpost a team into the Cup than April Fools' Day? But as the day came to a close and the /bant/elopes surged in, nervous laughter turned to concern as Cup denizens realized they'd just been bamboozled by a shitpost on par with hiroshimoot having created the board in the first place.
The small yet loyal fanbase had watched the team for many years, and were eager to see how the team would function with the new PES version, hoping it could spur some ideas for the /i/ team to finally win that game. In the third match of group stages against :/m/, it finally happened. In a glorious 1-0 victory with a goal by SS GF, /i/ won their first match in 3 years. Bel/i/evers everywhere were ecstatic as the team also clinched a spot in the knockout round as well as the 2019 Summer Cup, the first elite cup that /i/ will participate in in 4 years.

So while /bant/ was nowhere near as fast to organize as other eager teams had been in the past, they wasted no time making their presence felt—is what this writer would like to say, except that neither their Qualifiers escape or scramble out of the Babby showed the makings of a new and unstoppable force (/g/ rout and Goal of the Tournament aside). And so, entering Summer, /bant/ seemed like yet another fad team: the kind that makes the Elites once and then languishes in the Babbies.
However, /i/ weren't done yet. Their desire to win wasn't satisfied just yet. The sketches got their pencils out and were ready to make quick work of the knockouts.
Securing a win over :/diy/ on a 120' goal from SS GF had any previous fans instantly converted to bel/i/evers, as /i/ drew up a play that was sure to get them to penalties, which they would end up winning as each /i/ player converted successfully.
And then it happened: with a formation most onlookers expected to be a goal-leaking asshole, /bant/ brought down their biggest shitpost on the Cup yet: first team through. First weekend. And, for now, tenuous holder of the ever-elusive title of Elite, and only brought down by eventual cup runners-up :/sp/. Can /bant/ continue to bring the #BANTZ to the Cup? Or will they subvert real expectations on their next Cup run by crashing to the Babbies once again? Tune in to find out, /bant/elopes, and remember: no refunds. ;)

After a win over :/h/ in the quarterfinals, /i/ pulled off another miracle win over :/jp/ in the semis with a goal by Taking Requests at 90+1' to force eggsdra diem which would lead to another trip to Benuldy's Pub, winning again with all players converting their shots.

By this time, everyone knew it was their turn. In the Finals against :/c/, /i/rene had woken up from her sleep to score a hat-trick when it mattered most. Fans across the 4cc were cheering her and /i/ on when the oh so familiar goal horn would play again and again, "Come On /i/rene!".

/i/ would win the 2019 Spring Babby Cup in what was a new turn for the 4cc. It had been a while since a team as unique as /i/ and their story had pulled off something so great and enjoyable for fans everywhere to watch. Watch out for them this summer as /i/ try to draw up a new strategy now that they are on the radar again, here's to hoping they don't get erased and become a one draft wonder. Whatever happens, just know that we bel/i/eve.

It's only /i/, they said.

The small yet loyal fanbase had watched the team for many years, and were eager to see how the team would function with the new PES version, hoping it could spur some ideas for the /i/ team to finally win that game. In the third match of group stages against /m/, it finally happened.

However, /i/ weren't done yet. Their desire to win wasn't satisfied just yet. The sketches got their pencils out and were ready to make quick work of the knockouts. Securing a win over /diy/ on a 120' goal from SS GF had any previous fans instantly converted to bel/i/evers, as /i/ drew up a play that was sure to get them to penalties, which they would end up winning as each /i/ player converted successfully.

After a win over /h/ in the quarterfinals, /i/ pulled off another miracle win over /jp/ in the semis with a goal by Taking Requests at 90+1' to force eggsdra diem which would lead to another trip to Benuldy's Pub, winning again with all players converting their shots.

By this time, everyone knew it was their turn. In the Finals against /c/, /i/rene had woken up from her sleep to score a hat-trick when it mattered most.
