At the end of every Cup since the 2016 4chan Spring Babby Cup, the team which takes home the >honor of the Spoon battles the /trash/ team in the Wooden Spoon Match. The /trash/ team is made up of retired, /4cc/-core players from teams around the Cup. The Wooden Spoon Match is of course 100%, absolutely, positively, in all certainty not rigged, with the Spoon teams currently leading 137-3 on aggregate.
Trivia
- Although possible, no team has ever Spooned on 3 points. The likeliness of this occurring is slim to none, as it would require every group to have a team at least with one win or three draws.
- No team has Spooned at every level of the Cup, however, /pol/ are closest to completing the unholy trifecta, having Spooned an Elite (2016 Summer) and Fetus (2017 Spring).
- /out/ were the first team in Cup history to Spoon a cup and then win the very next cup they participated in: they finished dead last in the 2015 4chan Spring Babby Cup and then won the very next Babby.
- /u/ were the first team in Cup history to do the exact opposite, winning the 2018 4chan Winter Cup and then immediately Spooning their next tournament.
