/vg/ League 8 will be the eighth iteration of the /vg/ general themed PES competition and the first competition on PES 2017. Similar to the previous Leagues, signups will be open and any team verified for participation is able to compete. The purpose of the League is to decide the roster of the actual /vg/ team for the 4chan Cup. /vg/ League 8 will be joint effort between the head organizer, the streamer, the aesthetics team, the /vg/ management team, and the VGL Council.
The League will be played on the VGL hitbox and hosted through the official cup stream.

Important Dates

• April 23rd - May 7th, VGL8 sign ups open. Teams that placed in the top 16 of the previous cup will have automatic entry to the main competition. Teams that placed bottom 5, missed the competition, failed to advance from the qualifying round, or are brand new will have to participate in the /vg/ League 8 Qualifiers.

• May 25th, Export deadline for all signed up teams (qualifier and main cup) the second it becomes the 24th at midnight UTC (aka May 24th, 23:59:59 UTC.) No exceptions. Preliminary aesthetics for ALL teams must be submitted by this deadline. Kits and logos are required by this date, player heads/models can be worked out on a later date if not complete

• May 27th, Any and all export save fixes are due at the same time as the previous deadline.

• May 28th, Draw for the Qualifier round will occur on the VGL discord after the conclusion of the Spring final.

• June 2nd - 4th, /vg/ League 8 Qualifiers . Draw will follow qualifiers on the 4th.

• June 7th, Second deadline to get any player models in to be compiled for the 1st day of the cup.

• June 9th, /vg/ League 8 begins.

Important News for Managers: VGL8 will be played on Semi-Assisted Sliding rather than Assisted. Please check your PES17 settings to make sure they are correct before making your export.

Draw

The draw for /vg/ League 8 will occur immediately after the final match of the qualifiers on the 4th.

The 32 teams are divided into 4 seeding pots, using past performance to split the first three groups, and the 8 best teams from the qualifying round for the rest of Pot 4.
