Rance potw.png Rance Hanny icon.png /hanny/
  CF
An engimatic player, Rance's record of 64 matches and 41 goals is bettered by few. However, the enduring memory of Rance is one of failure, of fleeting brilliance among years of disapointment. His trademark shot, a left footed cannon shooting the ball wide of the nets.

Once a precocious talent, Rance stil holds the rare distinction of representing /vg/ before making his VGL debut. A missed penalty kick in the 2012 Autumn R016 would prove to be an omen of things to come.

The future still looked bright, with Rance's 1-2 punch with TOSH in headlining the strongest offense in the league. Rance scored 4 goals against /skg/ in a 9-1 victory that remains a VGL record today. Heading into the opening day of VGL 7, Rance's record stood at 12 goals from 13 matches and his development into an elite player seemed assured.

But that moment would prove to be Rance's peak. In VGL 7 he scored once. Over the following five VGLs (8-12) Rance would only scored twice in 18 matches. With talk of being elite now a farcical joke, Rance would find himself stripped from the /hanny/ Captaincy.

Unburdended from the Captainy, Rance would finally found the nets. And while he has not become elite, Rance is at least a solid player. Occasionaly glimpses of the young prodigy can still be seen, with Rance's brace against back to back defending champs /dbg/ in VGL14 leading /hanny/ to their finest ever victory.

As the VGL enters its second decade, club and player have regained some respect. "Aiyaah! It's Hanny's decade" the potteries yell in the stands. But for that to be true, /hanny/ needs Rance to take that next step and finally become the player he once threatened to be.

Leomon potw.png Leomon Dies Digi icon.png /digi/
  CF
The storied history of the /digi/ squad seems to start and end with the enigmatic Leomon Dies. Leomon encompasses the full mood and energy /digi/ carries within every cup they perform. Their performances are reflected in his individual plays. It goes without saying that /digi/'s success from the 11th to the 15th or so /vg/ League was majorly in part to Leomon's skills.

In the early years, he struggled to find his footing. Much like his performances in the Digimon anime, Leomon couldn't exactly last long enough to find /digi/ any long-term success. It took until the 11th VGL for Leomon to show the flashes of his potential that was put on display in /vg/ League 9.

It was then that Leomon truly set himself apart as a star striker on a rising team. The /digi/ squad began to regularly put up high-scoring matches and saw moderate success in the /vg/ League. /vg/ League 13's performance had everyone's heads turned, and it seemed that even with his record-tying match against /lzg/, Leomon struggled to find consistency. A shocking go at /vg/ League 14 made people assume the man had truly died and was now considered a one-hit wonder. Leomon took the criticisms to heart and brought forth his best performance to date in /vg/ League 15. /digi/ came oh so close to their finals berth, but ultimately Leomon's heart could not bring them further than a fourth place finish.

As for after that... well, check your local graveyard.

PotW Clown.png Clown (as Captain) Ss13g icon.png /ss13g/
  CF
On a team of elite spacefaring crewmates, by far the funniest is Clown (as Captain), the life of the station and most often the victim of much needed lynches.

/ss13g/ as a team has been around as early as VGL7 under the care of /ss13g/ server admin (formerly) and the team never managed to get past the group stage. After a few cups, the team would go on hiatus for 3 years in 2018 (after playing in VGLX) until reemerging in 2021 (for VGL 17) with new aesthetics much to the pleasure of the general. Since then, the team hasn't managed to win a single match until VGL 19 and even managed to reach knockout stage for the first time ever in VGL2X.

After the teams debut for VGL 17, Clown (as Captain) had scored almost half of the teams goals to this point (8/18) and has taken the team out of group stages in VGL2X scoring 6 out of 9 goals. The moment that solidified Clown as VGLs most funny and talented player (its a fact don't look it up) was the first win since they came back, VGL 19 against /pmmm/. The funny clown guy had come on the pitch in the worst condition possible and after the half, up 1-0, with a cross from Shitcurity in the right wing he had managed to perform a successful (let alone on target) bicycle kick, winning them the game at 2-1.

PotW MEA.jpg Mechanically Engineered Autism Egg icon.png /egg/
  SS
What does this bit of the factory do? ...you don't remember? Nor how it works? Why not stop it for a second so you can-

Fine jeez I'm not gonna touch it, stop yelling at me.

This understated embodiment of sleepless nights and meticulous ratio balancing is a rising star in an /egg/ traditionally lead by the unnerving CLANG; at first a humble supporter to the main man(?), he has recently seen far more goals and almost single-handedly pulled the team up from the dumpster fires of the last few leagues' performances. The addition of his banger of a goalhorn has made him a lot more popular due to how often it's getting played nowadays. Still only the second-highest scorer for /egg/ behind CLANG, that stat may only be a "for now" given time.

You know, he could really do with his own model. The manager should probably get on that.
