Introducing a unique new format of divegrass tournament where the usual rules of building tactical exports are flipped upside-down and sixteen managers will compete with randomly assigned tactical exports improvising, >testing and livemanaging their way forward until only one remains. This tournament will be run on Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 and is organized by sgbong and streamed by TBA.

Rules

The ruleset will be the same as the 2024 4chan Autumn Cup, although final ruleset will be confirmed nearer the time.

General other rules:

• Teams:
  • Teams are signed up as rosters and aesthetic exports, tactical exports will be chosen at random by the draws for exports and groups on the 30th November
  • There is no restriction on which teams can take part; 4CC, VGL, VTL, other invitational or completely new teams are all welcome to sign up. It should be noted however for 4CC, VGL and VTL teams it is expected out of courtesy that you should ask your board or general if they would like to participate before signing up.
  • Teams must not be of an extremely low quality, based on circlejerks or ones that would otherwise not be allowed to enter non-board, general or theme specific tournaments for example /trash/, /offtopic/ or /qa/.

• Tactical Rules:
  • After the draws are complete experimenting to find the best presets possible for each team is encouraged as well as inputting the player names and rosters into the assigned tactical exports however no changes must be made to player stats or cards, if any are found managers will be memed on and will lose a gold medal player of the streamers choice for the first match
  • Managers have until 24 hours until the first matchday to submit a Day 1 nightly otherwise their team will start in a random default formation with all players in position but with sliders at the mercy of the streamer. Otherwise no changes beyond subs and set piece setup are permitted until 20 minutes into the match or first concession timeout
  • Nightlies and pastebin updates for subsequent days must be submitted to the organiser at least two hours before the matchday begins.

• Match Rules
  • Livemanaging is required and through the cup IRC only, instructions from the Cytube chat or Discord will be ignored.
  • Pastebins are accepted although livemanaging would be preferred as the tournament is primarily a livemanaging/tactical improvisation challenge
  • If managers are absent and there is no pastebin or prior instructions given teams will be penalised by the loss of subs and will have a random medal chosen by the wheel and benched for the duration of that match.
  • As nightlies are allowed for Day 1 no prematch changes other than subs and set piece setup will be permitted.
  • While livemanaging and experimenting mid match is permitted and highly encouraged, please keep this to an acceptable level. The streamer has the right to ignore any instruction that is excessive or too time consuming. This also applies to excessive mentality changes, while these do not count as a timeout the streamer has the right to ignore calls for mentality changes if they become excessive.
  • Usual cup rules on timeouts apply, timeouts are free for concessions and at half time but otherwise only two voluntaries are permitted per match.

Signup Information

Up to sixteen teams are permitted to sign up on a first-come-first-serve basis, signups will close once sixteen signups are reached. Backup signups may open at a later point if there is suffcient demand. Managers cannot sign up more than one team.
