The Persona video game series is the most popular spin-off series from the classic JRPG franchise "Shin Megami Tensei" and with it's ever-growing popularity came the /pg/ general because elitists on /smtg/ hate Persona for being too casual and not as hardcore as Nocturne or Stange Journey.

The idea for the /pg/ team came up during the sign-up phase of [[/vg/ League 3]] when former /a/ co-manager {{Anonymous|CanadaFag|!!z5SxTZu+Tg0}} sparked the idea of a team, however due to the closing deadlines the plans for /pg/'s creation put on halt and plans for establishment pushed to the [[/vg/ League 4]] sign-up period and CanadaFag instead used the VGL3 to save /ssbg/'s season and acted as interim manager while taking them to a 7th place finish, losing only once to the eventual finalists [[/wtg/]].
