/vg/ League 9 will be the ninth iteration of the /vg/ general themed PES competition and the final competition on PES 2017. Similar to the previous Leagues, signups will be open and any team verified for participation is able to compete. The purpose of the League is to decide the roster of the actual /vg/ team for the 4chan Cup. /vg/ League 9 will be a joint effort between the head organizer, the streamer, the aesthetics team, the /vg/ management team, and the VGL Council.
The League will be played on the VGL smashcast and hosted through the official cup stream.

Important Dates
- October 27th - November 4th, VGL9 sign ups open. Teams that placed in the top 16 of the previous cup will have automatic entry to the main competition. Teams that missed the competition or failed to advance from the qualifying round, or are brand new will have to participate in the /vg/ League 9 Qualifiers. Teams that placed low in the final rankings of the previous cup are also at risk of playing in the Qualifying round. Ranking points are not used to determine qualifier participation, only pot placement in the main competition.
- November 18th, Export deadline for all signed up teams (qualifier and main cup) the second it becomes the 18th at midnight UTC (aka November 17thth, 23:59:59 UTC.) No exceptions. Preliminary aesthetics for ALL teams must be submitted by this deadline. Kits and logos are required by this date, player heads/models can be worked out on a later date if not complete
- November 19th, Any and all export save fixes are due at the same time as the previous deadline. Draw for the Qualifier round will occur on the VGL discord shortly after the deadline passes.
- November 24th - 26th, /vg/ League 9 Qualifiers . Draw will follow qualifiers on the 26th.
- November 29th, Second deadline to get any player models in to be compiled for the 1st day of the cup.
- December 1st, /vg/ League 9 begins.
