The Persona series of video games is easily the most popular spin-off series from the classic JRPG franchise "Shin Megami Tensei" and with it's ever-growing popularity on /a/ and /v/, as well as the autism from the countless waifu wars, came the /pg/ general when they weren't allowed on /smtg/ because Persona is too casual and not as hardcore as Nocturne or Stange Journey. However with the reveal of Persona 5 and the death of /smtg/ during the initial [[/vg/ League]], the question was sparked as to why there's no Persona team in the VGL? After 6 months of planning and preparation /pg/ looked to debut in VGL4 after the 2015 4chan Spring Babby Cup but again the team would be unable to play due to organisation falling apart at the last minute. Finally, the team had been able to play at VGL7 Qualifiers with a new manager on the helm. The campaign was a short one, but with /pg/'s first win on the last day, it gave fans enough hope to have one more go at the next VGL tournament. What happened next can only be explained as the memest run ever to happen in VGL History. After qualifying for the tournament with 2 medal defenders while topping the qualifier group with a -5 goal difference, /pg/ ran rabid with a stellar performance. Topping their group and making it to the quarter finals, while also beating teams that had prestige, /pg/ enjoyed their run of VGL 8 so much, that they look forward to the next one.

However with the reveal of Persona 5 and the death(?) of /smtg/ during the initial [[/vg/ League]], the question was sparked as to why there's no Persona team in the VGL?
So now after 6 months of planning and preparation /pg/ will look to debut in VGL4 after the [[2014 4chan Spring Babby Cup]] with /tv/ co-manager CanadaFag as their founder and team manager.
 
Also the current logo is temporary and will be changed (hopefully) in time for VGL4.

Soon after the completion of the tournament interest was gauged in /pg/ and polls were taken to decide the teams initial roster and goalhorn.
