After the removal of the Minnesota Northstars in 1993, Minnesota fell into an eternal winter until June 25th, 1997 when it was announced that hockey was back in the state of Minnesota with the Minnesota Wild. The team was officially inaugurated into the NHL during the 2000-01 season and found early success. Star players, unlikely successes, and crippling disappointment exist within the Wild's 17 year history. With the 2017-18 season upon us and significant moves made within the offseason, will the Wild find playoff success and hoist Lord Stanley's Chalice or will they make like every Minnesota sports team and LET THE FANS DOWN?
