Dragon Ball always had loads of fighting games but none of them got the Seal of Approval by /fgg/ because "they aren't real fighting games". Also the competitive scene for Dragon Ball games was fairly weak if even existent compared to the big fighting games like Street Fighter and Tekken and once it isn't competitive enough it's discarded by /fgg/. But now /dbg/ rests calmly, knowing that FighterZ will put all the big games into the trash.

/lolg/ - The Popularity Derby

It is safe to say that Dragon Ball is the most popular anime to this day, everyone has heard of it, hell some maybe even played a few of the games. And let's be honest, everybody who played Budokai Tenkaichi 3 liked the shit out of it. Even though the anime was a huge success worldwide the games didn't get nearly as much popularity. Meanwhile League of Legends got millions of players hooked onto their PCs, the threads on /vg/ go fast as hell and the competitive scene is watched by thousands of viewers. In this derby, two of the worlds most popular things clash against each other.
