Ah, the blues. A genre so well-engrained into the whole of music that every other genre can be easily interpreted as an offshoot of it.
One could argue that most of this league contains some form of blues. With an impact so wide, it's tough to truly define one team as "blues."
Ever since the fateful day Robert Johnson went down to the crossroads and sold his soul to the devil, we've been hearing some form of the blues.
The Mississippi Delta was changed forever, and a legend was born. Soon, there were handfuls upon handfuls of folks out there with guitars to play and songs to sing.
...We're gonna cut this essay-like portion of this summary short to get into more pressing matters.
Now, you'll notice some of the players on this team aren't exactly most known for blues. Admittedly, this is a bit of a compromise, but these choices can still be legitimately justified. Remember, everything is the blues in some way. Having Eric Clapton on a team about the blues genre makes some sense. Most of you probably didn't know Long John Baldry was a blues artist, which is a damn shame. And the rest of the roster will likely be met with "...Who?" (Honestly, I can't blame you for not knowing some of these people.) Don't recognize an artist? Give 'em a listen. Who knows, you might find you like the sound.
