/lit/ Football Club is the virtual football team of the 4chan board /lit/ - Literature. Founded February 12, 2012, it is a relative newcomer to the 4chan Champion's Cup. Although currently relegated to the Babby series, /lit/ has ambitions to break through to the main series and contend with the more established teams. To achieve this, the team is undergoing extensive restructuring. /lit/ is set to appear in the forthcoming 2012 4chan Autumn Babby Cup.
History
- Details: /lit/ Match history
Foundation
/lit/ Football Club was founded on January 9, 2012, when an anonymous /sp/ user urged the denizens of /lit/ to form a team. /lit/ played its first match shortly thereafter on February 12; a friendly against fellow debutante /pol/. The fledgling /lit/ team was completely unprepared for the aggressiveness of its opponent, and was subject to a barrage of goals from /pol/ stars Doompaul and Stormfront. The game ended 0–3 to /pol/. Utterly humiliated, /lit/ set its sight on the upcoming Babby Cup for a chance at redemption.
23-25 MAR 2012 - Short run in 2012 4chan Spring Babby Cup. Go 0-1-2 in Group D and fail to advance.

Home | File:Lit home 3D.png | In an effort to bring class to this miserable collection of autists, /lit/ has dressed up for the tournament. With this kit, /lit/ mixes function and elegance into one seamless blend of perfection. While some in the /lit/ locker-room complain that this suit will only make it harder to endure the physical exertion of the game, /lit/ management is confident that it can offset this by playing a smarter game than their opponents.
(To get this kit to work, you must follow the route Edit Menu > Edit Player > /lit/. Then for each player you must follow the route Accessories > Strip Style; and set Sleeves to "Long", Shirttail to "Untucked" and Sock Length to "Long") |
Away | File:Lit away 3D.png | Defeatists in /lit/ mocked the attempt to search for another kit. They claimed "it's all been done before", and fell into deep dark depression, realizing that never again would a kit challenge the foundations of reality itself. Following this desire to create something wholly original, /lit/ kit designers became more subversive, incomprehensible, and meta. With each new kit suggested, the whole of /lit/ would come together to deride it for being "pleb" and "overdone". With each new failure, /lit/ kit designers went further off-kilter. Days were spent toiling away at this impossible task. One of the /lit/ kit designers is even quoted as saying: "I have seven pixels, but I don't know what order they go in!" Finally they released their grand masterpiece: a postmodern interpretation of the essence of kits, which seeks to mock the attempt at telling a deep story about humanity, while being subversively aware of its own medium.
It was pleb and overdone. |
