Generation Kill is an American seven-part television miniseries produced for HBO that aired from July 13 to August 24, 2008. The book was written by Evan Wright who was an embedded reporter with the 1st Marine Reconnaissance Battalion. The story is based on actual events and shows the real face of war instead of the traditional romanticised Hollywood action flick. With a big cast, the main POV is from 2nd platoon's 1st Humvee which is where Evan Wright was embedded.
