2011 4chan Summer Cup
/mu/ was one of the original 16 teams in 4chan cup history. In the inaugural tournament, /mu/ would be eliminated twice by the more hipster team, /a/. The first time, they lost 2-0 to /a/ in the first round, sending them to the Losers' Bracket. Here, they would go through 4 rounds with 2-1 wins against /k/, and /x/, and 2-0 wins against /adv/ and /fit/. In the 5th round, /mu/ faced their old enemy /a/ once again. This time, the match was much more even and it would have to be settled by penalty kicks with the score being 1-1 after extra time. /mu/ would be eliminated here via sudden death as the penalty kick scores were 10-11. Much to everyone's surprise, /a/ would also eliminate /sp/ via penalty kicks after a memorable comeback and they would become the first 4chan Cup champions after defeating /ck/ twice in the final.
2012 4chan Winter Cup
Once again, /mu/ would be sent to the Losers' Bracket in the first round. This time, /k/ drew 1-1 with /mu/ and the penalty kick shoot out would see /k/ winning 7-6. In the Losers' Bracket, /mu/ would in 3-0 against /v/, only to be freaked out by how gay /fit/ is in a 5-1 defeat on the second round.
2012 4chan Summer Cup
The 4chan Cup grew and now the original 16 were joined by 8 more teams from the 2012 Spring Babby Cup. /mu/ would be in Group D with /int/, /sci/, and /k/. The team was off to a rocky start against /k/ with a 3-3 draw that saw Trout Mask Replica save /mu/ a point with a goal at the last minute of the match. In their match against /int/, /mu/ looked to have the match in control after the first half, winning 3-1 by the end of it. However, /int/ was here to kick ass and be white, and thus, they were able to draw the match in the second half with Argentina White and Polandball saving /int/ a point. Next, a match ensued that would create an unlikely rivalry. /mu/ would once again dominate the first half, but their goal horn would enrage /sci/'s atheist asses due to their lack of love for Jesus Christ, our lord and savior. Though, this got the crowd amused, /sci/ would not have any of it as they would come back in the second half with 2 goals, and the match would end 2-2. This result helped neither team, but /sci/ would get the worst of it as this left them in last place in their group, sending them to back down to the Babby Cup. Overall, scoring goals was not a problem for /mu/, but their sloppy defending led to choked leads and kept them from winning a single match, leaving them at 3rd place in their group with 3 points, but not sending them to the Babby Cup due to /3/ having the same amount of points with a worse goal difference.
Rivalries
An unlikely rivalry has developed between /k/ and /mu/. For each cup in 4chan Cup history, the two teams have faced off in the group stages. With a fairly even track record of exchanging wins, /mu/ slapped down a 7 - 1 victory over /k/ in the 2013 4chan Winter Cup.
