What I learned today:

Don't draw one detail at a time - the head was HUGE for a while because I drew it independently of eyeballing it with the body, I missed the lean he had at first too caught up in the direction the shoulders were pointing, which ironically had an effect on the latter that messed me up.


Watch negative space. The shape in between the arm on the hip helps to judge where lines should be, see this as another shape to watch for like the body.
