The 2018 4chan Autumn Babby Cup will be the twenty-ninth official 4chan Cup tournament and the seventh iteration of the Autumn Babby Cup series. The tournament will feature a mixture of teams that are relegated from the 2018 4chan Summer Cup, teams that failed to qualify from the 2018 4chan Spring Babby Cup, and teams from the 2018 4chan Spring Babby Cup Qualifiers.

Due to winning the previous Babby Cup, /e/ will host this tournament. This is also slated to be the first cup under current commissioner QD !!ztCBdAQrY7S.

Competitors

Thirty-two teams will compete at this tournament; fourteen of the teams will qualify by means of relegation from the 2018 4chan Summer Cup, and the rest will qualify by failing to advance from the 2018 4chan Spring Babby Cup, the 2018 4chan Spring Babby Cup Qualifiers or qualify from the 2018 4chan Autumn Babby Cup Qualifiers.

This cup will be the debut 4chan Cup (proper) for /aco/.

The draw will be held on October 20 at 17:00 UTC.

Teams will be placed in four different pots based on seeding. Seeding was determined by:

1. The finishing position of the 16 teams relegated from the 2018 4chan Summer Cup in that tournament.
2. The finishing position of the teams who placed third in each of the 2018 4chan Spring Babby Cup group stages.
3. The finishing positions of the remaining teams who advanced from the 2018 4chan Autumn Babby Cup Qualifiers.

All of the highest-seeded competitors (the top eight relegated from Summer) are placed in Pot 1; the next-highest in Pot 2, and so on until all pots contain eight teams each.

Seeding Playoff

Two teams at the edges of Pots 1 and 2, /mlp/ and /ck/, were tied in stats in the 2018 4chan Summer Cup. As a result, a playoff was held to determine which one obtained the higher seeding. Like past tiebreaker matches, this one did not count for any official stats.
