| The team's first official match. The first half was mostly uneventful after /vr/ took an early lead and dictated the pace of the game. In 5 minutes, the unthinkable happened. An off-target /k/ shot bounced off of the crossbar and hit Powerglove in the back and rolled in for a goal for /k/, tying the game 1-1 at the half, /vr/ with many shots and /k/ with 1 shot total and 0 on-target. It all went to hell in the second half where shots kept being saved by StoppanPower while Powerglove let in 2 more. In the dying minutes of the game, Doomguy managed to get a consolation goal, making the game end in a 3-2 loss. Fortunately, all recordings of this shameful display have been lost when Hashd.tv went down. | | The team's first official match. /vr/'s first ever official win. After conceding rather quickly, >filters made sure to equalize just as quickly. With Doomguy scoring another one in the first half, and an intense, but seemingly goalless second half, it seemed the game would end in a close 2-1. With less than 5 minutes left, both Doomguy and Arino managed to score. Instead of a 4-1, we got a 4-2, as >Blender managed to follow up his own blunder and score for /3/. Just enough time was left for another attack and so /vr/ went to look for a 5th goal, but Nwabudike Morgan's blooter was off-target and as the ball left the pitch, the whistle was blown and the match was over.

After /vr/ tasted what victory was like, they wanted to make sure defeat would never happen again. For this reason, the team pulled back both silver players >filters and Vile to make the defense impenetrable. This backfired in a way that wasn't expected. /out/ trained 2 of their players to do nothing but keep Doomguy and Arino in check, and with the other star players way back, /vr/ had a hard time attacking, barely getting one goal in the first half. Then many attempts were turned into counter-attacks by /out/, who went on to score 2, only to get a reply from Doomguy again. Then Ranger Smith put in a third for /out/ and that's the story of how /vr/ lost another game.

Recipe for RIPPING AND TEARING:
1 piece of Rookie manager
1 piece of Host known for rigging
1 huge guts
a handful of vertebrae
Put on a football pitch in broad daylight in company of a team starving for a win and watch for 90 minutes. Enjoy!

After one of /gd/'s star players was suspended in their previous game, they were an attacker short. To compensate for this, they put a third defensive midfielder in. The 8-man defense combined with the fact that the host accidentally ignored both teams instructions for the entirety of the first half led to this atrocity. It's worth noting that despite /vr/ being the more offensive team and /gd/ the more focused on defense, in the match the roles were switched. Thankfully, Powerglove came through and saved the day as well as 6 shots.

The long legged beauties of /e/ turned out to be real dribbling queens and skipped past the /vr/ defense left and right. By the time the team came up a set of long-ball tactics that looked promising, it was already the last 10 minutes of the game.

This game was the team's first do or die moment. Either beat a not live managed (as a donkey ate the internet cables in the /ic/ manager's village), but nonetheless dangerous team and secure your place in the Babby Cup or face failure. The team prepared with a slight change to the formation, putting in one more defender than usual. This worked out well, as the /ic/ shots were all from bad angles or weak due to the tight defense and the offense was enough to score 2 on /ic/ in the first half without reply. The second half was a lot more quiet with no more goals scored by either team. Then the whistle was blown and /vr/ not only won a match, but a ticket to the Autumn Babby.

The first game in a real cup against former elites /tg/, who fell from grace in the previous Summer Cup. The outcome of the game was never a question if the /vr/ defense could stop Doomrider, but rather if Doomguy could keep up with Creed's pace and genius. /tg/ took an unexpected early lead only 5 minutes in, but Doomguy quickly tied it up. In the last few minutes of the first half /tg/ was able to make the game 2-1. Even though the /tg/ defense was on their game, Doomguy had tricks of his own and took a long range shot in the cover of the tallest /vr/ player, Stick Straw, which caught the /tg/ keeper off-guard, tying the game once again.

The team used an incredibly aggressive setup, which /cm/ wasn't expecting. In the first half, /cm/ almost had 4 times as many shots as /vr/, but only one of them was on target, whereas /vr/'s 2 shots were both on target and deadly. In the second half /cm/ changed their mentality and went on to take fewer, but more accurate shots, but to no effect. This is the only game where then 3rd goalkeeper CRT was able to play. He did a solid job, getting 2 saves and a clean sheet. With one more run, Doomguy was able to score another goal in the 83rd minute to end the game 3-0.

The last game in the group stage, /sci/ opened with an all-out-attack set of tactics, as anything short of a win by 3 would have had them relegated. /sci/ took the lead very early in the game after cutting into the box and sneaky pass. After many failed attempts to equalize the, the first half ended with /vr/ having many shots, but none of them target, /sci/ with a few, but deadly strikes. Early in the second half, /sci/ scored yet again from a fast run past the defenders and hope seemed to fade away when in the 62nd minute, something fantastic happened. A pass from Arino chipped an opposing defender and was about to roll out of bounds when Doomguy, inches before the ball would have left the pitch, put the ball between the post and two confused /sci/ players, scoring a goal, then literally RIPPING AND TEARING through the net. Even though /sci/ quickly scored a third, hope was renewed and /vr/ went on a relentless march. >filters who has been keeping the midfield in check all game long put in great effort to take the ball up the wing, cut in and give an assist to a Doomguy who was deep in the box, waiting for an opportunity to score his second goal of the game. Although /vr/ lost, with this last goal the team topped the group and sent /sci/ to the bottom of it.

/vr/'s first knockout stage game. After the tactics proving themselves to be inefficient in the first half and the team running short of ideas on what to switch to, there was nothing left, but to just look as the team's chances of advancing fade away.
Manager: Skywelker
Not much to say about this one. It's your average tastes-like-nothing PES14 game. Powerglove had 6 saves, though I would have preferred losing 6-0 here and him doing those saves in games that actually mattered.

After switching managers from the previous cup, the game started showing promise for this new /vr/ team. A relentless set of attacks in the first half culminated in Doomguy heading the ball towards the net but being denied the credit of the goal by /tv/'s goalkeeper who pushed the ball to his own net. This forced /tv/ to inmediately substitute goalkeepers, which proved to be the winning move of the game as >tfw No Oscar kept /tv/ in the game saving 5 dangerous shots by the end of the first half.
The second half had a heavy momentum shift planned as /tv/ scored 2 in the first 9 minutes. While the team kept pushing forward for the equalizer a set of bad conditions, a strong defense and a stellar performance by >tfw No Oscar kept the result standing until the 87th minute when Bravo Hackson put the final nail in the coffin for /vr/'s first game in this competition.

A very close, back and forth game full of action and controversy. /vr/ started with a strong offense again giving Segata 3 clear chances on goal in the first 30 minutes of the game. Banjo in a defensive error lost the ball and Taylor Swift set the game 1-0 for /hr/, there was no time to celebrate though, because Doomguy equalized only 3 minutes later and the score stood still for the rest of the first half.
For the second game in a row a bad set of conditions slowed down /vr/'s offense during the second half and Emma Watson took the chance to score for /hr/. Inmediately /vr/ got rigged by having the wrong player subbed out and all hope seemed lost when suddenly Vectrex equalized again only 5 minutes after. It seemed like the game was going to end 2-2 when Greedy Resellers commited a foul inside the box and /hr/ got a penalty at the 93th minute.
With 0 points after two games, /vr/'s hopes to advance seemed grim and only a certain set of results for the rest of the teams in group B could keep them alive.

With only one day to prepare for this game, /vr/ needed a miracle to advance. Going with the most offensive set of tactics yet, it seemed like the only thing between the team and a win was yet another stellar performance by [s4s]'s keeper, Doge. Right before the end of the first half Bateman took a bad rebound by Powerglove that the defense couldn't clear and scored the only goal in the game.
Even after sacrificing one defender to get more people on the attack /vr/ was unable to get past Doge and >filters failed to score after a beatiful setup in the dying minutes of the second half.
With this result /vr/ was officialy out of chances and relegated to stay on the Babby Cup for another 6 months.

After promising to not give the last game away, /vr/ tried to at least leave with one win before it was game over.
Playing in the Smile and Optimism:Gone pitch, the only smiles gone were those of /o/'s fans as Segata Sanshiro scored a beautiful goal in the 30th minute.
A heavy man-marking on Doomguy kept the team from scoring again. During the second half, the team switched to a more defensive setup with Banjo man-marking Takumi. This proved to be a vital change as Banjo alone stopped the most dangerous attacks in the second half and helped the team achieve their first cup victory since the switch to PES14.
