2012 4chan Autumn Babby Cup
/wg/'s preparation friendlies were filled with surprises. In their first friendly, they were punished for not submitting a roster with very low stats and lost 10-0 against /f/. Their next friendly against /po/ was a fair match and they lost 3-2, which brought the team something to worry about as /po/ was revealed to be in their group for the babby cup. To top it all off, /wg/ defeated /sci/ 7-1 in their last friendly, leaving many people in shock and awe. After this, their fanbase grew stronger as people really liked their theme song and the strong result against /sci/ showed that they had great potential to go far in the babby cup.
Once the babby cup finally started, /wg/ opened the competition with an exciting 3-2 win over /fa/. /po/ would be /wg/'s next victim as they were unable to perform as they did in their preparation friendly against the very same team. With 6 points in two matches, /wg/ already qualified for the 2013 Winter Cup, so they rested their G/S/B players against /vp/. Some fans were outraged by this decision, with suspicions of /wg/ giving this match away to help /vp/ qualify. While it looked like /vp/ would actually draw 0-0 with their poor first half performance, /wg/'s defence DROPPED IT as /vp/ scored 4 goals in the second half, which confirmed the suspicions of rigging in the eyes of some fans. The 4chan Cup Committee and other managers saw this as merely a different strategy used to keep key players more fresh for the upcoming round of 16 match.
Though it seemed that it was finally /o/'s year with their qualification to the Winter Cup, /wg/ would eliminate them with a Cunt Destroyer double in a 2-1 victory.
In the quarter finals, Cunt Destroyer would once again score a double in a 3-1 victory against /hm/, who had just come from an easy victory against a hyped /trv/ team. Despite /vg/ showing heart as they eliminated /y/ through penalty kicks and /soc/ in the most exciting match of the tournament, stamina would be a deciding factor in this match as /wg/ won 3-0 with a Cunt Destroyer hat trick. There were also suspicions of refball as /vg/ had received 2 questionable red cards in the match.
Even so, /wg/ was the favorite in the final as /r9k/ had frustrated many with their goal horn and their dull penalty kick win in the beta derby against /adv/. While /r9k/ looked to have enough energy left in them to end the first half with a 1-1 score, /wg/'s decision to rest their key players against /vp/ proved to be decisive as /r9k/ completely decayed in the second half, dropping a sea of spaghetti in the pitch as /wg/ scored 4 goals in the second half with the final score being 5-1. Cunt Destroyer was the top goalscorer of the cup and /wg/ became the second team to break the golden boot curse in the competition. With such a strong victory in the final, there are high expectations for the 2012 Autumn Babby Cup champions as they hope to go far into the Winter Cup with the power of Cunt Destroyer's goals and the Yoko Littner fap montage that plays along with their goal horn.
