The 2022 4chan Spring Babby Cup will be the forty-second official 4chan Cup tournament and the eleventh iteration of the Spring Cup series. Teams that were relegated from the 2022 4chan Winter Cup, and those which failed to advance from the 2021 4chan Autumn Babby Cup, will compete at the event.

Having won the 2021 4chan Autumn Babby Cup, /u/ will host this tournament.

Competitors

At least thirty-two teams will compete at this tournament; sixteen of the teams will qualify by means of relegation from the 2022 4chan Winter Cup, and twenty-three will qualify by means of failing to advance to the knockout stage of the 2021 4chan Autumn Babby Cup.

This will be a debut Spring Cup for /vm/, /vrpg/, /vst/, /vt/ and /xs/.

Teams will placed in four or five different pots based on seeding. Seeding is determined by:

1. The finishing position of the 16 teams relegated from the 2022 4chan Winter Cup in that tournament.
2. The finishing position of the teams who failed to qualify from the 2021 4chan Autumn Babby Cup group stages.
3. The finishing position of the teams who advance from the 2021 4chan Autumn Babby Cup Qualifiers.

All of the highest-seeded competitors (the top eight relegated from Winter) are placed in Pot 1; the next-highest in Pot 2, and so on until all pots contain eight teams each.
