Installation

Not sure if this page ever existed or was lost in the great wiki security crisis but fuck it I'ma break this shit down.

Step 1: Base Game

Pick one and download. If you already have a PES2014 copy or used the first torrent, pick up the Mini Image data from the second torrent.

Step 2: Patch That

Download that, and run the .exe.

Step 3: Crack That

There's no working crack at this time. Stay tuned, and see Step 3a.

Step 3a: Miniaturize That

Luckily, there are still ways to run games without a license. Get the mini image from torrent #2 in Step 1 if you haven't already. Mount the .mds file with your trusty iso-mounting software, then try to run the game (no crack). If you get a SecuROM error about a backup ("Please insert the original disc instead of the backup" or something), then you're going to have to make some adjustments to your trusty iso-mounting software (I'm assuming it's Daemon Tools, and I don't know how to do Alcohol or MagicDisc or anything, so if you use those you'll have to google). Open up Daemon Tools, go to preferences, then advanced. You should see a couple checkboxes labelled with various disc types. Check SecuROM, then remount the image. If the checkboxes are greyed out, you'll have to reinstall Daemon Tools. Make sure to check all options necessary for advanced emulation if you do so.

At this point everything should be working, and your game should be at v1.04. If you've been fiddling with cracks and you find PES crashes when you're using a mini img, do a fresh install.

Step 4: Append DLC to That

If you don't have DLC 2.0, see the link above. If you used the crack posted here, then you already have it. However, you still need to install it. Grab the three files (DpFileList.bin, dt50_001.cpk, and dt500_7999999.cpk) and move them to C:\ProgramData\KONAMI\Pro Evolution Soccer 2014\download. Note: that is ProgramData, not Program Files nor your installation directory. ProgramData may be hidden in your Windows Explorer, just manually enter the address in the address bar. If you've done it correctly, PES will show you a bunch of shoes on next startup (must be a britbong thing).

Step 5: Mod That

So there's no official 4CC modlist for PES 2014 yet, but you're going to want to pick up FileLoader.

This is the latest version of FileLoader as of me writing this article. Basically, FileLoader is like PES 2013's kitserver and Gameplay tool rolled into one. Note that this version does not work with v1.04. Extract it to your installation directory.

Again, no official modlist, but you might want to check out Yair Patch. I'm not sure what it does, but people more important than I seem to think it's gud. http://yairpatch.com/blog/

Step 6: Interact With That Using Third-Party Programs

If you plan to do anything with your copy of PES 2014, an editor program will make your life a million times easier. To the extent of my knowledge, there is no 2014 version of PES Editor, which is what we used for PES 2013. Right now I'm using Pro-Evo Editing Studio 2014, which is not very good. Eventually new editors and better functionality for existing editors will be released. If you know of a better editor, post it here because god damn I hate using PEES.
