2016 4chan Spring Babby Cup

The 2016 4chan Winter Cup will be the eighteenth official 4chan Cup tournament, the fifth iteration of the Winter Cup series, and the first to use Pro Evolution Soccer 2016. The tournament will be played on dates to be decided in the Winter of 2016. Teams which advanced to the knockout stage of the 2015 4chan Summer Cup, as well those which secured promotion from the 2015 4chan Autumn Babby Cup, will compete at the event.

Having been victorious in the previous Elite Cup, the board of /mlp/ will play host to this tournament.

Competitors

Thirty-two teams are scheduled to compete in this tournament, sixteen of which qualified by means of advancing to the knockout stage of the 2015 4chan Summer Cup, and sixteen by means of advancing from the 2015 4chan Autumn Babby Cup.

This will be the debut Winter Cup and Elite Cup of /out/.

Pots

Teams will be placed in four different pots based on seeding. Seeding is determined by:

1. Finishing position of the top 16 teams from the 2015 4chan Summer Cup in that tournament
2. Finishing position of the top 16 teams from the 2015 4chan Autumn Babby Cup in that tournament

All of the highest-seeded competitors (the top eight finishers from Summer) will be placed in Pot 1, the next-highest in Pot 2, and so on until all four pots contain eight teams.
