The Spring 2022 /gd/ Roster Poll++ got 5 votes, all valid. The thread ran for a little over two weeks (April 1st to the 18th) without incident.

Kerning Suggestions [4 respondents abstained]

If competing against /mlp/, have Kerning occasionally dress up as a character that's bound to piss off most of the board: e.g. masturboop Starlight Glimmer, anyone from Equestria Girls, Discord, Arizona from Them's Fightin' Herds, Cozy Glow or even the new characters from MLP G5. Alternately, for something more neutral, Kerning should dress more like /mlp/-tan or Green Anon wearing a pony-themed ahegao hoodie; preferably of one of the "Mane 6" characters.

Takeaways

• Five votes is a bit low, but engagement was better than usual. I'm still not too surprised about this outcome, since the world cup interrupted the normal flow of when to expect roster polls on /gd/. I also, admittedly, didn't bump the thread much.
• Only one person offered new player suggestions, some of which were discounted for the following reasons:
  • Vexicollogy Thread: Territory covered by Aesthetic Flags Of The World
  • Oversimplified Logo: Territory covered by minimalism
  • Freelancer: Territory covered by Fuck You Pay Me
• Roster Changes
  • gd is gone, after a few confusing cups of people asking what a player literally named after the board represented. /gd/ has a thread where we just stylize the letters gd, I don't know what else to tell you!
  • For a time it looked like Untitled-1.AFDESIGN was also to be sacked, but problems with their replacement meant they simply returned to their outfielder name (Affinity Shill) for this cup instead. They may yet be sacked for Summer even without a poll depending on conditions described below.
  • Corporate Memphis, the Corporate Art/Globohomo player, finally made it properly into PES. This has been requested for a while, and simply was a problem of being a hard style to translate to PES.
  • Just Rip Something Off almost returned, but after the draw it was decided that the teams /gd/ was to play against were mostly poor fits for this concept, and effort related to this player were instead directed towards Kerning shenanigans. If the Summer draw is more favorable to this concept, they might replace Affinity Shill for that cup
• minimalism retains second silver, though Vaporwave made a bit of a showing. I know you like the goalhorn lads but it's not really an underdog story if we make her a medal.
• As always, I try to incorporate at least one suggestion from every person's response but depending on how workable they are and how much time I have for aesthetics they don't all get acted on. Please understand and don't be discouraged from suggesting the same ideas in the future.
