2012 - Destined for Greatness
/toy/ had performed poorly in their early matches. With no manager to instruct their toy soldiers, draws and losses were what filled the column for the young team. Their poor form didn't last long however. In the 2012 Spring Babby Cup, /toy/ showed the cup that despite their new players and lack of manager they were a force to be reckoned with. /toy/ came in second in their group with two wins and a draw, defeating /vp/ 2-0 and /s/ 1-0, only drawing /cgl/ 1-1. Due to seeding issues for the Summer Cup a rematch against the Seagulls was scheduled to determine who would top the group and move onto the 2012 Summer Cup. In the playoff match /toy/ and /cgl/ battled tooth and screw, putting up an impressive 4-4 scoreline by the end of extra time. With a 4-5 scoreline in penalties, /toy/ would earn their place in their first ever elite cup. Sadly, this high would not last long. In the following knockout match /toy/ would lose to /d/ 0-4, cutting their babby run short with their worse defeat to date. During the hiatus between Spring and Summer, /toy/ would pick up a manager in Tinker/toy/ !KKNPpJRADo.
Seeming to repeat their previous cup's order of events, /toy/ showed little promise in the friendlies leading up to the 2012 Summer Cup. More parallels would be made as /toy/ would 7 point their group again with wins over /3/ and /tg/, with a draw to /v/. Due to their dominating performance in the group stages, /toy/ would receive a bye that would place them in the quarterfinals automatically. In the quarterfinal against /n/, Woody would single-handedly demolish the bicycle riders with all four goals in their 4-0 victory. Unfortunately he could not repeat the performance against /sp/. Following a 2-1 defeat to /sp/, /toy/ would hope to achieve third place in their debut elite cup. Their hopes and dreams would soon be mangled like a bootleg custom. /m/ would stomp all over /toy/ in a 4-0 victory, giving /toy/ 4th place in their debut elite cup. Their performance earned /toy/ the Underdog of the Tournament award, with their star player Woody earning himself 9 goals for the entire cup.
2013 - Top of the Top
Following the return of manager Tinker/toy/ after a short hiatus, /toy/ came in second in the 2013 Winter Cup, with Woody and Madoka Titus tying for the Golden Boot with 9 goals a piece. /toy/ looked forward to the next major Cup event, with glowing light piped eyes.
The next cup, /toy/ performed poorly in the first two group stage matches of 2013 Summer Cup, with a 2-0 loss against /mu/, and a 1-1 draw against an unmanaged /x/. Tinker/toy/ had gone mad stating in the 4chan cup IRC that he was throwing the game against /x/. Despite a huge window of opportunity being opened after /x/'s 4-1 loss to /mu/, Tinker would switch all the players out before the fateful encounter with /c/, including the medal players. Kinder Eggs, an AMF, was /toy/'s goalkeeper for this match. The match that followed was an awful 0-0 draw that guaranteed /toy/'s relegation.
However, it didn't take long for /toy/ to redeem themselves in the 2013 4chan Autumn Babby Cup. They got a comeback win against /vg/ to win 3-2, disappointingly lost to /fa/ 0-2, and then Woody unleashed his touch and got a hat-trick to beat /e/ 3-1. They finished second in their group with 6 points, right after /fa/. They started out in the knockouts against /adv/, winning 2-0. They quickly went on to get a 2-0 lead against /gd/, but they got a consolation goal in the dying minutes of the 2nd half to finish it 2-1. A Madoka Titus hat-trick and 2 assists lead /toy/ to the finals after beating /pol/ 5-3. In the finals, it was a rematch of the Group B match between /toy/-/fa/. This time, the scoreline was flipped 2-0 in favour of /toy/, earning them their first ever cup. DawgamusPrime now led the team to the Winter Cup to get revenge for what happened last time.
2014 - Riding High
/toy/ came into the 2014 4chan Winter Cup strong and confident after two friendly wins, 1-0 over /m/ and 3-0 over /mlp/. They got drawn into the group of death with /h/, /y/, and /co/. It didn't take long to get a 2-1 win over /h/ which gave them an upper hand advantage. A very tense and close match against /co/ got /toy/ 1-0 early on, but resulted 1-2 because of some Ham Hands spaghetti. The match against /y/ was clearly one-sided, but Yaranaika scored late on and crashed the game, seeing Boris ATTEMPT to rig, despite failing to do so miserably, eventually ending 2-2. They went into the round of 16 against the only team to not concede a single goal in the group stages, /gif/, which ended 1-0. In one of the most hype quarter-finals, /toy/ went up 2-0, and then gave up the lead eventually going 2-4 down. Everybody fought back with everything to redeem themselves, but to no avail; it ended 3-4 in a very sad /toy/ loss.
The 2014 4chan Summer Cup was the cup for /toy/ to win, with almost all of the elite teams gone. They came out of the gate slow, going 0-1 down to /tg/, but came back to win 2-1. Their second match was against /gif/ and debuted the /toy/ stadium, having Woody and Madoka Titus score to end the result 2-1. With two wins, /toy/ was confirmed in the round of 16, so the game against /po/ wasn't important, so the match was boring and the result was 0-0. With 7 points (2 wins, 1 draw), /toy/ looked superior to their opponents, /hr/, /hr/ prevailed and despite being dominated in stats, went to penalties. Although /hr/ missed the first penalty, You Knoe Who missed the most crucial penalty that could've sent /toy/ through. Sadly, it wasn't meant to be and /toy/ missed another penalty to go out early in the round of 16.
2015 - Fall From Grace
With a new manager, /toy/ was looking forward to the 2015 4chan Winter Cup where they were drawn against familiar foes /jp/, /h/ and /wg/. /toy/ started with a fantastic 2-0 win against /jp/, however, /toy/'s offense lost steam with Woody and Madoka refusing to play the ball forward in their next two games, losing 0-2 against /h/ and drawing 0-0 against /wg/. Although /toy/ did not advance past the group stages, thanks to some rigging and manager drama, /toy/ managed to take the 16th place spot and will play in the 2015 4chan Summer Cup.
Many doubted /toy/ in the lead-up to the 2015 4chan Summer Cup, mainly due to the fact that they were originally supposed to play in the 2015 4chan Spring Babby Cup. However, many of these doubts were stopped after /toy/'s group draw was revealed, featuring now-top team /s/, yo-yo /n/, and a team considered one of the worst teams at the time, /soc/. Many expected /toy/ to come second place in the group, ahead of /n/ and /soc/, and this expectation continued into the cup itself. /toy/'s first match started as expected as Woody gave /toy/ a 1-0 lead against /soc/, but /soc/ took control quickly and scored 4 goals afterwards to hand /toy/ one of its worst losses, 1-4 to /soc/. /toy/'s next match against /s/ was not much better, featuring two blown leads (1-0 and 2-1) as well as two stoppage time goals on /s/'s side, leading to a 3-5 loss and almost certain elimination. While /toy/ could still technically advance on a win over /n/ and /s/ winning their next match, this was very unlikely, and despite /toy/ showing their best form in the whole cup against /n/, /n/ goalkeeper Airport General saved almost every /toy/ shot, and soulless play from /n/ otherwise led to a 0-0 draw. With -5 GD and one measly point from three matches, /toy/ played in the 2015 4chan Autumn Babby Cup after the worst performance in their entire history.
Little did the cup know it was only about to get worse. Despite a noble effort in their first two matches of Autumn, /toy/'s inability to defend cost them as they lost 3-2 and 4-3 to /a/ and /s4s/ respectively. A 4-3 win over /adv/ kept them in, however, and it was very possible /toy/ could make the escape with a win against goalless /3/ and help from /adv/. Neither of those things happened; /toy/ got embarrassed to a 3-1 loss to /3/, and /s4s/ beat /adv/ 2-1.
2016 - Mistakes into Miracles
/toy/'s next destination was the revived 2016 4chan Spring Babby Cup Qualifiers, where they only furthered their descent into irrelevance with a 3-2 loss to /co/ and a 2-1 loss to /v/. A 3-1 win over recently-formed /his/ combined with /v/'s demolition of /co/ just before saved their chances, allowing them to see the third place team playoffs, but a 4-1 embarrassment to old friend /adv/ kept them aborted.
Because of their poor performance in their first Fetus, /toy/ would have played in the 2016 4chan Autumn Babby Cup Qualifiers, but the death of /s/ just before the cup made them among several teams to be saved from this fate and placed in the 2016 4chan Autumn Babby Cup proper. Their first match was a very janky affair with /ck/, ultimately won 3-2 by /toy/ after a /ck/ own goal and a stoppage-time Woody goal. /toy/ won their next match, against future Wooden Spoon /i/, by the score of 4-2 on the back of a strong second half and just like that, after /vr/ had similarly won their first two matches, the group was totally closed. /toy/ had promoted back to the Elites after a year and a half in the dump. /vr/, of course, scored four on /toy/ before a third of their final match passed on the way to a 5-1 victory and /toy/ were quickly dispatched in the Autumn Babby knockout stage, but that didn't matter much. /toy/ were back.
2017 - We're Back Baby!
The resurgent /toy/ entered a new PES and their first Winter Cup since 2015 with hopes of becoming great again, with their first match against the elite-for-a-year future tag-team partner /d/. Unfortunately, in a tight contest, /d/ were the winners, by the score of 3-2. The grudge match against /tv/ went significantly better, with /toy/ scoring twice early before losing Danbo not long after to a red card. Forced to play over half the match with ten players, /toy/ held on to win 3-1, send /tv/ back to the Babbies, and put themselves in favorable position for Grip Weekend. Despite playing without silver medal O.T Chainsaw, as he received two yellow cards in their previous two games, one 2-0 shutout of /e/ later, /toy/ were atop the group. With eyes firmly set on reclaiming long-lost glory against once-Winter 2013 knockout foes and now defending Babby Champion /jp/, the stage was set for /toy/'s first Elite knockout match since 2014. After four goals in thirteen minutes, two by /jp/ before two by /toy/, the match went to extra time, where /jp/ ultimately claimed a 3-2 victory. Despite the elimination, the days of embarrassing relegations were over at last. /toy/ manager Legendairyman !!I7Squ4GXZX7 would retire after this tournament, allowing for new blood to take over.
With a new manager at the helm in Karth !!Y2abSm9+/NN, /toy/ looked at an intimidating group stage featuring Winter 2017 4th place /sp/, Summer 2016 runner-up /o/, and 2017 Spring powerhouse /lgbt/. The group stage started off rocky with /toy/ conceding ten minutes into the match against /o/, but a speedy answer by Madoka kept /toy/ in the match. Four minutes later, /o/ answered back, putting /toy/ down yet again. After the second conceded goal /toy/ played much better defensively, with Woody eventually scoring a goal at seventy minutes and the score ending 2-2. Next up was rival /sp/, who had just recently been manhandled by still powerful /lgbt/. Following a sleepy first half with only a few shots on goal, /toy/ exploded out of halftime with a quick two minute brace from Woody's cheeky headers. /sp/ wasn't going to lie down and die that easily, as /sp/ shot back two unanswered goals ten minutes apart. With time winding down and the thought of facing /lgbt/ on two points, /toy/ surged forward in the dying minutes and blitzed /sp/'s net, but to no avail. In the dying seconds Madoka stole the ball from an /sp/ defender and had a one-on-one opportunity with the keeper, but shot wide. This result put the group at 6-2-2-1, with /toy/'s final opponent being /lgbt/. In a controversial match /toy/ exploded out of the gate with the four goals in nineteen minutes, setting a new cup record for fastest 3-0 and 4-0 blowout in 4cc history. /lgbt/ made an effort to comeback but the game ended, and /toy/ advanced into the Ro16 with a 4-2 victory.
Now advancing out of groups in a 6-5-4-1 group, /toy/ would look to face /g/ in the Ro16. /toy/ had had a history of being Ro16 fodder with their eliminations in the 2016 Autumn Babby and 2017 Winter Cup, but they'd look to rewrite the script this time around. Following a fortunate Optimus cross deflection and Madoka cross, Woody would score first against the tech geeks with yet another header. /g/ would answer back quickly with Programming Socks scoring off of a kickoff, a nice change of pace given the previous few Ro16 matches on the day. At the dying minutes of the half, Madoka would cross it in again after some cheeky sideline passing to give Woody his second brace of the tournament. Keeping strong with the momentum, Optimus would take advantage of /g/'s newfound sense of urgency and deliver a throughball to Madoka who would sink it right between Stallman and the trollpost, extending /toy/'s lead to 3-1. /g/ wasn't going to take the loss easily, as Install Gentoo scored goal of the tournament contender with an outside the box bicycle kick that faked out even the in-game cameraman. Fortunately for /toy/ /g/ couldn't make the comeback and /toy/ would advance into the Quarterfinals for the first time in nearly three years against long time FLGS partner /m/. /m/ wouldn't put up much effort as /toy/ would steamroll them in a 4-1 victory, putting /toy/ into the semi-finals against still dominant /lgbt/. The game would feature an extremely tense first half with both teams choking clear-cut goal scoring opportunities, but /toy/'s struggling defense would eventually catch up to them. /lgbt/ would tightly mark Madoka and Woody, shutting down /toy/'s high powered offense and leaving their weak defense to the mercy of the homos. LGBTM2FBBQWTFY8P;IR5G would score first off of a Drossel mistake, and following yet another poor Drossel pass, Autogynephilia would seal the game and send /toy/ to the coveted third place match with a 2-0 defeat. With the hopes of a star on the logo crushed in front of their eyes, /toy/ played with little vigor against /an/ for the trophy, with Woody and Madoka both missing goal-scoring opportunities left and right. Madoka would score a concession goal to tie the game up, but a late defender ricochet would put /an/ ahead by one with hardly any time left, and in /toy/'s panic /an/ would sink another, sealing their 3-1 and giving /toy/ a fourth place finish. It was not all for nothing, however. Following the cup, it was determined that Woody would get Golden Boot over Madoka on the assists tiebreaker, and Optimus would receive Golden Ball. Woody would be the first ever player to receive two Golden Boots in an Elite Cup. The team would take solace in this fact and look to perform even better in the 2018 Winter Cup.
2018 - I Found a Spoon! (incomplete)
Winter 2018 was that of an enigma for /toy/. The group stage consisted of three draws against the likes of /g/, /sp/, and /pol/, each time the team looking formidable but being unable to come away with the win at the end of regulation. Shockingly enough three points was enough to advance from the group, with /toy/ becoming the first team in 4cc history to advance off of three ties. Going into the Round of 16, nobody knew if /toy/ was legit or not. They would have to prove themselves against the unstoppable looking /k/. Unfortunately, they proved the doubters right. /toy/'s attack looked anemic, the offense recording zero shots on target for the entirety of the first half and getting scored on twice. The game would end 1-3 in the favor of /k/, with Woody scoring a consolation goal in the dying minutes of the game. Thus they failed to repeat their Summer 17 performance. By some miracle they had managed to stay elite, so that's something at least.
2019 - The Autopilot Rising
soon
2020 - Keeping it Steady
With new manager CriticalStrike taking the reins from the autopilot team, /toy/ looked forward to new horizons in the Elite summer cup. The group looked pretty strong, containing the likes of /int/, /i/ and [s4s]. /toy/ started with a 4-3 win against [s4s], however this was the only win of this group. With the games against /int/ and /i/ tying at 1-1 and 3-3 respectively, but this was enough to advance to the Round Of 16. Unfortunately, /toy/ met their match in the powerhouse of /his/, not being able to score at all and losing 0-3. Again, /toy/ stays elite, even with the new manager at the helm.
