I've made a page for myself with everything just for the ease of myself. I've already done a whole lot of testing that I would just end up spamming the main page for now.
Intro
I'm going to add all settings I use under each header with a few details and write a bigger conclusion at the end.
What I'd like to ask as well is what one defines as 'fixed'. We know PES(14) will always have spaghetti, but do we want totally no spaghetti or are we okay with some. And even then, do we want spaghetti that is 'more frequent' but less game disrupting, or more game disrupting but very rare. Keep in mind that a bit of spaghetti can also add some fun to the viewers.
And Fileloader itself will never be 100% stable, but with the latest version (which I use) it is relatively stable.
Test Setup 1
Patch / Fileloader version
1.12, DLC 6.10 with the newest Fileloader (1.0.2.9) is what I tested for around 30 hours with before. All that is written below is based on this version.
Game difficulty setting (professional, top player, superstar)
I've mostly been testing at Professional, but tested TP and SS quite a bit as well.
Game emotion/heart setting (normal, high, maximum, ???)
Off.
Global defensive positioning 77 or 88?

GK stats 66 or 77?
77, because I nerfed the def prowess I decided to improve the GK again a bit. Not that it really helped because defenders were always able to stop everything themselves anyway.
Fileloader settings
General: fix direct shooting
On, although it doesn't matter as it is for player controlled players only. Just my autism to have all 5 boxes checked.
Gameplay: shot power
Unchecked.
Gameplay: ball speed
Unchecked.
Gameplay: AI level
Tested various levels.
Gameplay: Enforce AI balance
If you check this on professional, the game just completely derps. It did have its effect on TP and SS.
Gameplay: Remove bad AI script
On, if you leave this unchecked you get uncontrollable levels of spaghetti.
Gameplay: Passing support level

Conclusion
When choosing my settings, I try to aim for the most vanilla setup possible. I hate little tweaks that are actually a whole lot of work for the managers.
First things first, Remove bad AI script must be checked, it removes a lot of spaghetti already. I've tested various setups (with different) teams, but I always had to conclude that defending got way too good in 1.12 for the 4cc. A simple 77 CB had no trouble stopping a Gold with all trick/move cards, including when I reduced the Defensive Prowess to 77. Even when there was a breakout/counter with 3 vs 1, the sole defender was able to place himself perfectly to stop a player or intercept a pass in most situations. I've tried different AI levels and game difficulties, but this problem was always there. Of course there were still goals, but these basically only happened when all players in the attack just passed the ball and tried not to get past a defender themselves. Even Crispy got to the same conclusion as me.
Another issue are the crosses and sideway passes, these are always too hard. I was able to tone it down and have more decent crosses with various AI settings, but these kept happening. And when I changed the AI settings, the defenders became better as well (see issue above). For example, I ended up with a streak of 8 0-0s in a row.

Conclusion
The first few test games looked good (defenders have been toned down and golds are able to get past defenders again), of course I'll need to do a whole lot more of testing. But apparently (of course I am not sure, 10 test games are not a lot) it fixed dangerous GK ball rolls so far.

Professional at the moment, last AI difficulty before AI gets cheats. Might be changed to fix balance between the 77s, medals and GKs.

77, defenders are slightly better now, probably because of the 'remove bad AI scripts'. And silvers won't have their def prowess 'nerf' anymore.
GK stats 77?
77, def prow at 99. Because the defenders are slightly nerfed, GKs got a small boost to make them less prone to spaghetti where they punch the ball into the goal after a shot. 77 prowess has not really been tested yet.

Conclusion
These current settings are still subject to change, but I'd make a new section for that if that happens.
As stated in test setup 1, 1.12 has two big problems, unfixable spaghetti and crazy good defenders. 1.04 had more of a focus on attacking rather than defending; golds, silvers and occasionally 77s can now style their way around defenders again to get into a nice position to score. Checking 'remove bad AI scripts' (and maybe the new FL in general) basically removes all of the spaghetti that happens, obviously it still happens once in a while, but that is just unavoidable. The only worries at the moment with this version is finding the right balance between medals, 77s and GKs. It's not really broken now, but I have this feeling there might be a slightly better balance between the 3; medals feel too good compared to 77s now.
