/nijiEN/ made their initial debut during /vt/ League 2 and spent most of it's linage maintained under Caretakers. Despite a regular feature in the tournament format, /nijiEN/ has struggled to perform at a consistent level; having only advanced beyond the group stage on two separate instances.

/vt/ League 2 - Debut Nerves

Fresh on the scene, /nijiEN/ first game would be against the runners-up of previous cup final; Hfz icon.png /hfz/

Lack of tactical experience was highlighted towards the end of the match as Watamage denied nijiEN/ its first set of points, humbling the rookie side with a set-piece freekick finisher in the 85' minute.

In the next game, small defensive mistakes once again cost /nijiEN/ as they would go on to draw 1-1 against 774 icon.png /774/

However it was the final game that exposed the flaws within the team's overall structure as heavy favorites Nepolabo icon.png /nepolabo/ comfortably won 3-1, ensuring the /EN/ livers finished last in the group.

/vt/ League 3 - Momentum

/vt/ League 3 started promising for the /EN/ livers, with a nail-biting victory over the previous third place finalists; Wvt icon.png /wvt/

A last minute draw against Chama icon.png /chama/ allowed for /nijiEN/ to reach the knockout stages for the first time, ending the group on a personal points record high of 5!

However, the new found momentum would be short lived. Defensive errors once again emerged via the hands of Selenbear.

Unable to amend her mistake in time, /nijiEN/ would go to lose by a single goal against Manstars icon.png /manstars/ in an otherwise close game.

Unfortunately for /nijiEN/, the team would go on to mirror many aspects of the company it is themed around from this point forward.

/vt/ League 4 to 6 - Continued Misfortune

Between /vt/ League 4 to /vt/ League 6, /nijiEN/ would struggle to find it's footing on the field.

Whereas the team’s roster, tactical direction and support would drastically decline under it's assigned management via poor communication and suspected sabotage.

/nijiEN/ was unable to qualify beyond the group brackets during this era, limping along to an average of one win per-event.

/vt/ League 7 - Glass Cannon

/vt/ League 7 would see /nijiEN/ placed under new management, with the coach setting out on three core goals:

Implementing a refreshed squad selection that represents the general, a complete tactical overhaul and renewed focus on entertainment over advancement.
