Founded in time for the 2012 Autumn Babby Cup, /hr/ is a team that celebrates 4chan coming as close as it ever will to caring about celebrity culture: looking at very high resolution pictures of scantily-clad celebrity women. The team embodies High Resolution Stalking at it's finest, and after their 2nd place performance in Summer 2014, /hr/ made the knockouts of a second Elite Cup in the 2015 Winter Cup, before losing 3-0 to /asp/ in the Round of 16.

Performance Synopses

2012 4chan Autumn Babby Cup

Before the competition started, the team already had a bad reputation due to DeAndre choosing to make one of his defenders a golden player. As if that wasn't enough, in their first three matches with their gold defender, /hr/ didn't get a single win and only scored once in their first friendly with /r9k/. Once the group stage draw was made, /hr/ was in Group B with /tv/, /o/, and /s/. Sure enough, their losing streak continued with their first group stage match as /o/ won 2-0, leading /o/'s fans to believe that this is their year. On the second match, /hr/ would not only win, but it would be a strong 4-1 win against /s/ with a Celeb Threads hat trick. Though this win gave them some hope for their next match against /tv/, it didn't matter because /tv/ would easily win the last group B match 3-0.

2013 4chan Spring Babby Cup

DrBorisG debuted against /trv/, going up 2-0 by 60 minutes. Unfortunately questionable managing and great work by /trv/ allowed them to mount an incredible comeback, winning off a goal in injury time. The next game against /ic/ had an early goal nursed along until /ic/ got aggressive late in the second half and found an equalizer. The defense managed to hold a draw and keep /hr/ alive for the final day. Thanks to another unlikely comeback by /trv/ against /ic/, /hr/ only had to win by 1 to go through to summer. At first it looked like /d/ would be resting most of their medals, assuring an easy point. An early header by goal by Vore foreshadowed the eventual result. A pair of Emma Watson goals gave /hr/ brief hope, but an answer by Haigure heralded the subbing on of medal striker Bob Sapp, after which /hr/ completely collapsed, killing their Summer chance. Overall opinion appears to be that /hr/ has improved, getting leads in every every game and keeping them exciting, but couldn't finish and still needs some work.

2013 4chan Autumn Babby Cup

Yutz started his management career for /hr/ in the Summer and Autumn friendlies to mixed results. Two wins already left him as /hr/'s best manager coming into the cup, and /hr/'s wild run would prove it. The group stages started sleepily as /hr/ barely pulled a comeback from 2 goals down against /s/. In their second game, /hr/ would get their first ever win against /tv/ on a spectacular 90+ Taylor Swift goal. While it looked like they would blow past /gif/ in the third match, the defense became porous as the team got tired, and /gif/ would find a draw on a late goal by 'Is This Real?' Thanks to a spectacular sudden surge by /tv/ against /s/ however, /hr/ would top the group and be slated to play dead (but definitely wildcard) /cgl/ in the round of 16. The win over /cgl/ turned out to be fairly in hand on a pair of goals by Taylor Swift and another by Emma Watson. In the quarter final, /hr/ would face a projected cup favorite /lgbt/. The game was a tense low scoring affair with /lgbt/ making more attacks. A late change to a very defensive formation threw /lgbt/ for a loop and caused the most spectacular own-goal of the cup by Slutty Bisexual. In the semi-final /hr/ and /fa/ went back and forth on goals. Thanks to a legendary single game performance by goalkeeper Celeb Threads, the game sat at 2-2 into extra time and eventually taking the game to Penalty Kicks. Celeb Threads simply tired out and on the 6th round of kicks, 3 Gallons Per Tit missed a required kick, sending /hr/ to the 3rd place match instead of the final. In the third place match, defensive tactics were used once again to successfully ward off /pol/'s blitzkrieg and secure a 3-0 win, 3rd place in the cup, and the Golden Glove award for Celeb Threads.

2014 4chan Winter Cup

/hr/'s first elite cup started hopefully, but was ultimately unsuccessful. In the first game, a mid half goal by new silver medal player Haunted Areum stood for the entire match, as /b/ was completely unable to find an answer. The 1-0 win seemed to promise /hr/ some future success, but the following game against /an/ tempered their hopes. An early goal by Emma Watson was avenged hard by successive goals from every /an/ medal except What Is This? leading to a final 1-3 result. Due to the /an/ dominance of the group, /hr/ still had a chance coming into the last day, as even a one goal loss would leave them ahead of /soc/ and /b/. Unfortunately, radical /soc/ tactics and a bit of >PES magic led to Feet scoring the fastest ever cup hat trick and an additional defensive spaghetti moment later gave him a double brace. Answers by Emma Watson and Taylor Swift were not enough to keep /hr/ ahead of /soc/, and they would be relegated to the 2014 spring babby cup by a single GD.

2014 4chan Spring (Mega)Babby Cup

/hr/ began the expanded spring campaign in a tense quiet affair against /o/. The lone early goal by Haunted Areum stood the entire match giving /hr/ early group points. /hr/ was somewhat lucky to find a late goal against second opponent and early group favorite /tv/ in the 4th Celebrity Derby, pulling a draw. Their third game against /vr/ was an exciting back and forth affair, only settled when a penalty kick was given to /hr/ in endgame injury time, giving them a go ahead goal. Fortunately the group position was fairly solid at that point, because chat bot dubs foretold an [s4s] win over /hr/ in the last group game. Safely in Summer, /hr/ bowed out to /u/ in a solid round of 16 performance with an Emma Watson consolation goal.

2014 4chan Summer Cup

/hr/'s greatest cup run yet started with a bang. /cgl/'s unorthodox formations and frequent changes were unable to deal with a variety of /hr/ players to the tune of 3-0 on what had otherwise been a very sleepy low scoring day for the cup. The next game against /u/ the following weekend however was more dominated by /u/'s almost unbeatable defense, handing /hr/ a 1-0 group stage loss. These games set up a climactic weekend where /hr/ faced cup giant /a/ fighting for its life. An early Emma Watson goal was enough to slay the titan with a 1-1 draw, sending /hr/ through and /a/ to its first ever babby cup. In the knockouts, /hr/ first faced a dominant looking /toy/ who true to form controlled the stat line. The only /hr/ goal in regulation was a frustrated laser beam shot from Taylor Swift, later answered by Madoka Titus and Woody on some improbable teamwork. The match went to PKs, and appeared to be lost when Emma Watson missed a kick, however this was answered with a save against You Knoe Who, and later Nubs Destiny sent a shot skyward leading to a winning sudden death kick by Astronomy. The final score was 1(8)-1(7), a win which came with Theb Elt as well as advancement. In the quarterfinal, /h/ got off to an early lead, but adjustments by /hr/ allowed for a pre-halftime equalizer by Taylor Swift and a Free kick goal later by Emma Watson put the game away 2-1. In the semifinal against /x/ the game was back and forth with impressive volleys by Emma Watson and x-Tan, but Taylor Swift was again able to put the game away later for hr, another 2-1. The luck finally ran out against the elite /mu/ in the final. Playing dadrock as their keeper as if to mock /hr/'s musical choices and only further enraged by the use of Nickleback's Photograph as a special anthem, they dominated the match 2-0, saving every /hr/ attack and proving themselves the cup's winner as well as claiming Theb Elt. Nevertheless, /hr/ has been to the final of an elite cup and decisively proven that it has the chops to play at the highest levels of 4CC competition.

2015 4chan Winter Cup

With a new manager (Flagon), /hr/ had to hope for the best in a tough group stage. The High Rollers got off to a bad start with a 2-0 loss to /b/, the 2014 Autumn Babby Cup champions. Against /po/, /hr/ was able to bounce back from their previous loss with a 2-0 win. After those two matches, it was time to do or die against /ck/, and /hr/ looked strong in a 4-2 win that got them through the group stage. Despite a win that lifted their spirits, this team soon proved to be nowhere near as good as they were in the 2014 Summer Cup. /asp/ eliminated /hr/ with an easy 3-0 win for the W/asp/s that left a lot to be desired from /hr/'s defense.

Rivalries

/hr/ vs /tv/ - The Celebrity Derby (1-2-1)

While both boards are extremely similar in how they swoon over their favorite starlets, /hr/ and /tv/ just happen to frequently meet on the pitch as well. In the first two encounters, /tv/ slapped down an increasingly embittered /hr/, and it wasn't until the third encounter in the 2013 Autumn Babby Cup that /hr/ proved it could be the superior team. In the 2014 Spring Babby Cup match, /hr/ played from a condition disadvantage, but a late low goal allowed them to pull a 1-1 draw. Future meetings are sure to be heated.
