After /vt/ was shut down by DOGE during the 2025 4chan April Fools event, many small corpo posters were left without a home. Following the initial union between /tsunX/, /lia from phase connect/ and /pcgia/, many other small corpo anons - /jidf/, /v4m/, /pxl/, /vrex/, and more - joined forces to survive the disaster finding themselves in /a/ and [s4s], the latter board being where the name /zords/ got coined, likening the situation to the Power Rangers morphing into a Megazord. This was, obviously, just a joke thread that turned out to be a nice place. When /vt/ would come back up, everyone would go back home to their threads and /zords/ would be a nice memory to look back on every now and then...
Not much time later, disaster struck once more. /vt/ was gone for real, and so was the rest of 4chan. During the downtime, anons had to reunite using the archives and whiteboards, trying to point everyone to the direction of the altchans. The joke thread suddenly turned into a permanent general,
