Debuting to a bronze trophy in the 2012 4chan Spring Babby, the inaugural such event, /sci/ looked like it had the equation cracked until they ran into fellow math enthusiasts /3/ in the semi-final. Unfortunately it was not to be then, and for a great many years /sci/ floundered: yo-yoing in and out of the early elites until going so far as to not even provide an export and compete in 2016 for that Autumn babby. It established a pattern of staying under the radar no matter the success or failure of the run.


Coming into the tournament, it had been 3 years since /i/ had won a game in an official 4cc match. In their previous 18 matches, they had 0 wins, 4 draws, and 14 losses, permanently stuck in the Babby Cup or Qualifiers during this span. The goal for /i/ was clear, just win a goddamn game.  
The would come back strong for another run that only halted in the infamous 'WHOOPS HAHA I CHANGED THE PRESET OF THE WRONG TEAM' moment of the 2017 summer cup, arguably forced to let /lgbt/ score a goal on its way to back to back babby and elite wins. While 2017 continued the good fortune of /sci/ for a time, there was no closer run to a cup yet again, and the sine wave of success inevitably had to cross back over zero on the graph, leading to a run of 3 years of solid relegation.


The small yet loyal fanbase had watched the team for many years, and were eager to see how the team would function with the new PES version, hoping it could spur some ideas for the /i/ team to finally win that game. In the third match of group stages against [[:/m/]], it finally happened. In a glorious 1-0 victory with a goal by SS GF, /i/ won their first match in 3 years. Bel/i/evers everywhere were ecstatic as the team also clinched a spot in the knockout round as well as the [[:2019 4chan Summer Cup|2019 Summer Cup]], the first elite cup that /i/ will participate in in 4 years.  
2022 finally started showing some yoyo potential again, and /sci/ even managed to stay elite in the 2023 winter cup and make it as far as a quarterfinal. While frustrating to be relegated in summer, it would lead to /sci/ finally getting a moment of cathartic triumph: The 2023 Autumn Babby Cup would feature a rather miraculous group stage promotion, a 9-3-3-3 being the team that got the least beat up by group terror /a/. This belied a knockout run where it seemed like nothing could go wrong, with only /vt/ ever holding a lead on them again for all of 11 minutes.


However, /i/ weren't done yet. Their desire to win wasn't satisfied just yet. The sketches got their pencils out and were ready to make quick work of the knockouts.
When /sci/ is clicking it looks incredibly calculated, and they had no hangover going all the way to 4th in the most recent 2024 4chan Winter Cup. With a run of older PES versions coming in, /sci/ will need to dig into the remarkably well archived game plans and aesthetics on their wiki page and try to define a function that doesn't involve another years long dry streak in the pursuit of victories, but their intellect seems up to the task as of now.
Securing a win over [[:/diy/]] on a 120' goal from SS GF had any previous fans instantly converted to bel/i/evers, as /i/ drew up a play that was sure to get them to penalties, which they would end up winning as each /i/ player converted successfully.

After a win over [[:/h/]] in the quarterfinals, /i/ pulled off another miracle win over [[:/jp/]] in the semis with a goal by Taking Requests at 90+1' to force eggsdra diem which would lead to another trip to Benuldy's Pub, winning again with all players converting their shots.

By this time, everyone knew it was their turn. In the [[:2019 4chan Spring Babby Cup Final|Finals]] against [[:/c/]], /i/rene had woken up from her sleep to score a hat-trick when it mattered most. Fans across the 4cc were cheering her and /i/ on when the oh so familiar goal horn would play again and again, "Come On /i/rene!".


/i/ would win the [[:2019 4chan Spring Babby Cup|2019 Spring Babby Cup]] in what was a new turn for the 4cc. It had been a while since a team as unique as /i/ and their story had pulled off something so great and enjoyable for fans everywhere to watch. Watch out for them this summer as /i/ try to draw up a new strategy now that they are on the radar again, here's to hoping they don't get erased and become a one draft wonder. Whatever happens, just know that we bel/i/eve.

Flashback to the [[2019 4chan Spring Babby Cup Qualifiers|2019 Spring Babby Cup Qualifiers]]: /cm/ is in Pot 3; an absolute unknown, and "just an autopilot" -- one that hasn't seen any success since [[Dragongate]]. But after drawing their first match, /cm/ then cutely devastated the competition, finishing with a +7 goal differential and a teal and purple ticket to the [[2019 4chan Spring Babby Cup|2019 Spring Babby Cup]].<br />
Founded in mid-2014, /w/ has always fielded roughly the same roster of 23, changing infrequently and sporadically. Waifu Walls up front and Powerlevel behind, /w/ has worked itself into Elites time and time again, with their closest chance at the gold coming in the [[2019 4chan Summer Cup]], where they eventually finished 4th overall. The box-heads, now monitor-heads, of /w/ are one of the most recognizable looks in the 4CC and it would be hard to mistake Waifu Walls for any other team's player.


So as the cup began, all eyes were on /cm/, many expecting Len-kun!!! and Nagisa to carry the team through on another powerfully cute run; the power duo did exactly that. In [[2019 4chan Spring Babby Cup Group F|three matches]], the pair scored all 7 goals for /cm/, including 4 in a win-or-go-home match against [[:/mu/]]. While the two would once again fetchingly carry them through the [[2019 4chan Spring Babby Cup knockout stage|Round of 16]] against [[:/x/]], /cm/ would be shocked in the quarterfinals at Benuldy’s Pub when a penalty kick by Nagisa was denied by Captain Meido. Among this and reports that Nagisa had drunkenly yelled “Shinji is a bitch-ass motherfucker”, /cm/ missed out on Babby glory, but qualified for their first Elite Cup in [[2018 4chan Winter Cup|almost two years]]. But this team of heart-melting boys would be up against stiff competition, as their first match was against defending champions and aesthetic debonairs [[:/gd/]] -- or so the 4CC thought -- as /cm/ would make quick work of them in a charming 3-1 win, making a statement to the 4CC that this team was not going away. However, after a shock draw to /x/ and a loss to [[:/wg/]], some viewers began to believe there was a chink in /cm/'s cute-yet-strong armor.<br />
Even with a top-4 finish in Elite and Babby alike (and a Qualifiers "championship"), it would nevertheless to be hard to talk about /w/ without mentioning its controversies off the pitch. Whether it be [https://implyingrigged.info/wiki/Rigged_Wiki:News/The_Cull supposedly being the commissioner's pet], winning their 3rd place trophy via [https://implyingrigged.info/wiki/2021_4chan_Autumn_Babby_Cup golden goal], having a [https://implyingrigged.info/wiki/File:Asterisk_Gang.png less-than-serious match with /wsg/] or just generally being considered a nonfanslol team, /w/ has survived every scandal and controversy to date, playing that same kind of solid footy in every Cup they're in.


Then, in a finish for the ages, /cm/ were paired against [[:/diy/]] in the [[2019 4chan Summer Cup knockout stage|Round of 16]], where hope looked lost after an 82’ go-ahead goal by /diy/, except that Nagisa was not quite ready to let go. Scoring at 85’ to dab on the /diy/nosaurs, /cm/ ultimately advanced when their fellow autopilot overheated and committed an own goal; possibly the cutest spaghetti end to a game the Elites have seen in quite a while. The very next day, /cm/ then went on a destructive run unmatched in 4chan Cup history: across the span of the quarters, semis, and the final, they went on to win the cup with a total aggregate score of ''11-1''. With 12 goals across the entire cup, 9 alone in the final 2 matches, Kaworu went on to take the Boot from under Summer's noses, with Len-kun!!! taking the Ball as his cute second. <br />
It's all about the subtlety for /w/'s football team. Maybe that's the best way to do it? You don't want to reveal your powerlevel, do you?


Proving that you can be cute, ''and'' a boy, and yet a monster on the pitch, it is thanks to Kaworu and the rest of the boys that /cm/ are now undeniably the best, with a star to prove it.<br />
Subtle competence will do just fine for /w/ - it always has.
 
And who knows? Maybe when they fly to the moon [[2020 4chan Winter Cup|next Winter]], they can make it back-to-back as they play among the stars.

Yet, their manager and fans do not look crestfallen when they take the field. How could they be? The bombastic Moliendo Cafe and watching a half-time show of cooking that's (probably) worse than your own is sure to lift the spirits of anyone watching - or at least ruin their appetite.
   
   
But before them -- once, there was a small team. Smooth, and inoffensive, it became the basis of a revolution — and few other boards could be better suited to start a trend than the innovative '''/gd/'''.
Again and again, /ck/ shows up as strong competitors in Babby and Elite alike, pressing onward for promotion time and time again in the Babby Cups. In the Elites, /ck/ has a pair of (slightly dusty) Third-Place Trophies to show for their years of work slaving away behind the grill, first in the [[2012 4chan Winter Cup]] and later the [[2015 4chan Winter Cup]].  
   
   
Even before they truly made a mark in Cup history, it was — {{tt|intentionally or unintentionally|a now-banned former /gd/ manager was accused of throwing /gd/'s 2014 Winter Cup matches for better Rankings placement}} — thanks to /gd/ that the Cup adopted its current seeding format. However, what truly put /gd/ on the map was the [[:2014 4chan Summer Cup Group A#/sp/ v /gd|now-legendary upset]] of Cup stalwart [[:/sp/]] — an achievement that kicked off the story of the little team that could. Following another [[:2015 4chan Summer Cup Group C#/gd/ v /s4s/|miraculous escape]] the following year, they soon became a near-permanent fixture of the Elites, and a common sight on the final day of any Cup they appeared in. Yet, for all their sleek aesthetics and masterclass tactics, /gd/ seemed unable to ever reach beyond the quarterfinals — until, [[:2019 4chan Winter Cup|one Winter]], a cunning little cat made a wish upon a genie... a wish that led to a star, and, as luck would have it, an honest-to-goodness logo redesign.
Even with these years of good results, the question looms large. Will all those cups spent grinding away ever make the perfect cup run for this beloved and beleaguered /ck/ side? A team can only be this unlucky for so long, right?
   
   
But as their fellow [[:/u/|Elite colleague]] had learned [[:2018 4chan Summer Cup|the year before]]... every wish has a price. Though /gd/ now faces [[:2019 4chan Autumn Babby Cup|Autumn]] with their reputation on the line, expectations will be high, because as their history shows: it doesn't matter if your team is small — all you need is the drive to make it bigger.
Regardless of heartbreak, /ck/ continues to push on towards that first star they were so close to in 2011 to this very day.

But the Rigger was at work. Though its Lords were devoted and its men loyal, its victorious battles came to nothing in the face of lost wars. As war after war was lost, the men of the kingdom of /a/ came to increasingly rely dogmatically on the few. Whether Titans or Cattle Herders, they all fought valiantly but ultimately crumbled as the weight of numbers became the burden of responsibility. And when they crumbled, so did the kingdom they represented. Though their people were loyal and their Lords well-loved, their kingdom, too, failed as the men they trusted to bear the weight of duty faltered..."


Few teams are as storied -- or as long-suffering -- as '''/a/'''. The winners of the nascent, inaugural Cup, common wisdom once held that /a/ was a team too big to fail. [[2014 4chan Summer Cup|Until they fell.]] And fell. And fell.  
A one night thing? Totally, anyone really. I don't like all of them but even if Rainbow Dash was my only option I would say yes. I don't know how they would translate in real life but there are plenty fan art pictures that show a good example.


But banter is cheap; achievement is not. Has your team ever [[:2011 4chan Summer Cup|started all the way at the bottom of the bracket, saved anime, and gone on to take it all?]] Or have they ever [[2014 4chan Winter Cup knockout stage|triumphed over every biggest rival in one of Cup history's greatest days?]] Or been on the [[2017_4chan_Autumn_Babby_Cup_knockout_stage#/a/ v /n|delivering end of Brazil]]? Or all three at once? Can your hollow, fanless team fill the void with banter when what it needs is heart?
I don't think I would be to comfortable with one around me because, I wouldn't know what to do? Do I feed it? Do I pay attention to it? I don't care what I do around my dog because he's a fucking dog, do I treat her like a human and talk to her? Back to my dog, what if he flips shit because there is a god damn flying pony in my house. I couldn't leave her alone because thats not fair at all, and she might fuck something up or answer the door and screw our deal up. I can't take her in public.


Mockery is temporary; suffering is ephemeral; but history is permanent. As this chapter of the chronicles of Rigterra draws to a close, reflect on the story of a team with some of the Cup's greatest highs and cruelest lows -- and understand that in the fickle universe of virtual divegrass, that team could be yours. Will the new decade see new greats in Cup history, or can /a/ deliver a grim reminder once more who the One True Elite was, is, and always will be?

The would come back strong for another run that only halted in the infamous 'WHOOPS HAHA I CHANGED THE PRESET OF THE WRONG TEAM' moment of the 2017 summer cup, arguably forced to let /lgbt/ score a goal on its way to back to back babby and elite wins. While 2017 continued the good fortune of /sci/ for a time, there was no closer run to a cup yet again, and the sine wave of success inevitably had to cross back over zero on the graph, leading to a run of 3 years of solid relegation.

2022 finally started showing some yoyo potential again, and /sci/ even managed to stay elite in the 2023 winter cup and make it as far as a quarterfinal. While frustrating to be relegated in summer, it would lead to /sci/ finally getting a moment of cathartic triumph: The 2023 Autumn Babby Cup would feature a rather miraculous group stage promotion, a 9-3-3-3 being the team that got the least beat up by group terror /a/. This belied a knockout run where it seemed like nothing could go wrong, with only /vt/ ever holding a lead on them again for all of 11 minutes.

When /sci/ is clicking it looks incredibly calculated, and they had no hangover going all the way to 4th in the most recent 2024 4chan Winter Cup. With a run of older PES versions coming in, /sci/ will need to dig into the remarkably well archived game plans and aesthetics on their wiki page and try to define a function that doesn't involve another years long dry streak in the pursuit of victories, but their intellect seems up to the task as of now.

/w/ has near always been a solid team in 4CC competition. They're don't have the trophies to match their non-weeb wallpaper brothers, but they've always been quietly holding their own. And besides >>>/wg/ is that way: it's all cute girls and tasteful lewds at /w/.

Founded in mid-2014, /w/ has always fielded roughly the same roster of 23, changing infrequently and sporadically. Waifu Walls up front and Powerlevel behind, /w/ has worked itself into Elites time and time again, with their closest chance at the gold coming in the 2019 4chan Summer Cup, where they eventually finished 4th overall. The box-heads, now monitor-heads, of /w/ are one of the most recognizable looks in the 4CC and it would be hard to mistake Waifu Walls for any other team's player.

Even with a top-4 finish in Elite and Babby alike (and a Qualifiers "championship"), it would nevertheless to be hard to talk about /w/ without mentioning its controversies off the pitch. Whether it be supposedly being the commissioner's pet, winning their 3rd place trophy via golden goal, having a less-than-serious match with /wsg/ or just generally being considered a nonfanslol team, /w/ has survived every scandal and controversy to date, playing that same kind of solid footy in every Cup they're in.

It's all about the subtlety for /w/'s football team. Maybe that's the best way to do it? You don't want to reveal your powerlevel, do you?

Subtle competence will do just fine for /w/ - it always has.

Runners-up in the 2011 4chan Summer Cup, /ck/ has yet to taste success in their near 11-year history. The tale of this team is one of tragedy from the very beginning. Whether it be untimely own goals, 90+ goals, or an unholy combination of the two on par with the average /ck/ poster's dinner, /ck/ has suffered bitter defeat again and again. Yet, their manager and fans do not look crestfallen when they take the field. How could they be? The bombastic Moliendo Cafe and watching a half-time show of cooking that's (probably) worse than your own is sure to lift the spirits of anyone watching - or at least ruin their appetite.

Again and again, /ck/ shows up as strong competitors in Babby and Elite alike, pressing onward for promotion time and time again in the Babby Cups. In the Elites, /ck/ has a pair of (slightly dusty) Third-Place Trophies to show for their years of work slaving away behind the grill, first in the 2012 4chan Winter Cup and later the 2015 4chan Winter Cup.

Even with these years of good results, the question looms large. Will all those cups spent grinding away ever make the perfect cup run for this beloved and beleaguered /ck/ side? A team can only be this unlucky for so long, right?

Regardless of heartbreak, /ck/ continues to push on towards that first star they were so close to in 2011 to this very day.

Ponies are probably the sexiest things I've ever seen in my life, not exactly the characters, just what they are, their legs, their eyes, their manes, their mouths, everything is perfect. I would totally have sex with them but I wouldn't want to live in Equestria or any of that bullshit. I would like to keep one but she probably wouldn't like it because she would have to hide and just hang out in my house.

A one night thing? Totally, anyone really. I don't like all of them but even if Rainbow Dash was my only option I would say yes. I don't know how they would translate in real life but there are plenty fan art pictures that show a good example.

I don't think I would be to comfortable with one around me because, I wouldn't know what to do? Do I feed it? Do I pay attention to it? I don't care what I do around my dog because he's a fucking dog, do I treat her like a human and talk to her? Back to my dog, what if he flips shit because there is a god damn flying pony in my house. I couldn't leave her alone because thats not fair at all, and she might fuck something up or answer the door and screw our deal up. I can't take her in public.
