Ah, /jp/. Though they were one of the Second Founding teams and an early survivor in the fight to stay a True Elite, old-time followers of the cup will mostly remember /jp/ only for the now-infamous "money-making scam" e-mail that first brought the Cup to the attention of . Worse -- when finally their Elite status was revoked, they were then but mere backdrop to /m/'s trademark ARROGANCE: off of the /jp/ manager's dare, /m/ had decided to crush /jp/ instead of throwing to relegate then-cup winners /sp/. And thus did /jp/ become a perpetual Babby fixture: a dry spell broken only once by a scoreless Winter run soon to be forgotten as the team was relegated back into obscurity. It follows, then, that the team's awakening this past Autumn was, understandably -- a shock: what otherworldly force had galvanized this team of NEETs to pick up their play? Would Winter prove their revival a fluke?  As it turned out, their return to the Elites would prove unquestionably triumphant: contributing to the relegation of cup champions /mlp/, and upsetting fellow returning powerhouse /toy/ in their quest for back-to-back cup victories. Though upstart /vp/ would eventually halt their run, they would only prevail in a tense penalty shoot-out. Without a doubt, /jp/'s meteoric rise to form is a welcome sight to behold, and as the days trickle down to Summer, be warned: this is one team that won't be taking it easy on yours.
Though they were one of two Provisionals to dominate the Qualifiers for the 2013 4chan Autumn Babby Cup, it was /lgbt/ that soared as [s4s] crashed and burned in the group stage to follow -- and by then, they were ``the`` team to beat. Alas, PES had other plans: though their loss to /y/ in a "pointless" last group stage match seemed no cause for worry as they went on to crush /vr/, the hopes of /lgbt/'s fans would soon be dashed as a late own goal against /hr/ the next day sealed the fate of their cup run.

Now, three years after, /lgbt/ has claimed the cup that all but seemed theirs so many moons past, and what a journey it's been -- in the cups to follow that fateful autumn, it seemed as though /lgbt/ could never live up to the standard they themselves had set. Soon, they had fallen into obscurity, into the Babby fixtures, and finally, into undeath, as an abandoned autopilot languished at the bottom of Autumn 2015's Group F. Until recently, too, they had seemed all but likely to die for good -- until new management burst onto the scene seemingly out of nowhere, amd like the /lgbt/ of old, they took the Babby by storm. Now, with a Cup in hand and Summer looming, the question poses itself again: this time, will /lgbt/ pass, or is history poised to repeat? Only time (and PES) will tell.
