/vg/ League

Welcome to the /vg/ League! The /vg/ League is the series of simulated soccer tournaments played on games from the Pro Evolution Soccer series, which determines the roster of 4chan Cup team /vg/. Since 2013, /vg/'s general threads have competed on the field for the dubious honor of representing /vg/'s main team. Iterations of the /vg/ League typically run in June and December, between the 4chan Cup's Babby and Elite Cup cycles.

Player of the Week Frito  /snowg/   GK Being the small one in a booba game isn't easy, but the little professor has some tricks up her sleeve. She's been the iron flat wall opposing teams have had to overcome since /snowg/'s debut. Originally nominated to be a goalkeeper because she was the gremlin of the game everyone wanted to see get pelted. Now with her new exosuit she's become the most popular character in Snowbreak, with her merch selling out almost instantly. Yea, who's laughing now? She's practically invincible. Ok, she might have had one bad outing but that's because she was out of energy drinks and couldn't refresh because someone put a baby lock on the cooler. Recent Form: L D L L D As one of the /vg/ League's founding members, /dng/ earned its current two stars through winning /vg/ League 2 and /vg/ League 4. Though its roster has changed through the years as metagames have shifted and certain cards entombed themselves on the banlist for years to come, a certain degenerate fire dragon has remained ever-present as team captain, winking ;) in some shape or form from the team's very first game in 2013 to now. After a lengthy hiatus from play counting /vg/ League 7 through 12 following a less than stellar performance in the /vg/ Leagues 5 and 6, the team returned reinvigorated with the power of the Sky Striker Ace - Raye in the /vg/ League 13, where they saw their largest win yet in an 8-2 domiantion vs /mggg/ followed by a 6-2 blowout vs /きらら/. Despite their valiant efforts, the team's hopes for that season went down in flames, but the flames in their heart remained ever prosperous. Since then the team has gone through ups, downs, hiautuses, and qualifiers. Following two abysmal qualifying round performances in the /vg/ Leagues 22 and 23 the team was granted a bye into the /vg/ League 24, though the thread ultimately decided they were uninterested in playing, citing "game too expensive" and "unban zenmaity you faggots".
