Signups will be found here when the time comes.
/vg/ League 9 will be the ninth iteration of the /vg/ general themed PES competition and the final competition on PES 2017. Similar to the previous Leagues, signups will be open and any team verified for participation is able to compete. The purpose of the League is to decide the roster of the actual /vg/ team for the 4chan Cup. /vg/ League 9 will be a joint effort between the head organizer, the streamer, the aesthetics team, the /vg/ management team, and the VGL Council.
The League will be played on the VGL smashcast and hosted through the official cup stream.

Important Dates
- October 27th - November 10th, VGL9 sign ups open. Teams that placed in the top 16 of the previous cup will have automatic entry to the main competition. Teams that missed the competition or failed to advance from the qualifying round, or are brand new will have to participate in the /vg/ League 9 Qualifiers. Teams that placed low in the final rankings of the previous cup are also at risk of playing in the Qualifying round. Ranking points are not used to determine qualifier participation, only pot placement in the main competition.
- November 18th, Tactical export deadline for all signed up teams (qualifier and main cup) the second it becomes the 18th at midnight UTC (aka November 17th, 23:59:59 UTC.) No exceptions. The draw for the Qualifier round will occur on the VGL discord on this day around cup time.
- November 19th, Preliminary aesthetics export deadine for all signed up teams. An export with at least kits, logos and portraits is required by this date, additional player heads/models can be submit on a later date if not yet ready.
- November 21st, Any and all export save fixes are due at the same time as the tactical deadline.
- November 24th - 26th, /vg/ League 9 Qualifiers . Draw will follow qualifiers on the 26th.
- November 29th, Second deadline to get any player models in to be compiled for the 1st day of the cup.
- December 1st, /vg/ League 9 begins.

Important News for Managers
Pre-game tactics in the form of pastebins (that is, sliders, formation changes) and special non-model-related aesthetics (including opponent specific music) must be submitted directly to the streamer, who is usually QD on IRC or QD#3978 Discord unless stated otherwise on the Discord. Live-managing pre-match and during matches should be done via IRC on the #4chancup channel in a PM to QD (or whoever the streamer is that day, you will be notified prior to your match if there is a change). Nightly exports go directly to the VGL Export email at vgleagueexports@gmail.com before 15:00 UTC, 2 hours before match days begin. If you need help still read here for a more detailed description.

The draw for /vg/ League 9 will occur immediately after the final match of the qualifiers on the 26th.
The 32 teams are divided into 4 seeding pots, using past performance to split the first three groups, and the 8 best teams from the qualifying round for the rest of Pot 4.
