FIFA Box Art Award

Similar to the 4chan Cup's Lionel Messi Memoriam Award, the /vg/ League has celebrated the top players of its tournaments with the FIFA Box Art Award (commonly referred to as the "Best Player" Award).
The first recipient of the award was  /hsg/'s Gold Striker Captain, Kel'Thuzad in /vg/ League 4; its most recent recipient was  /utg/ AMF and Silver I CAN'T DO ANYTHING in /vg/ League 23.

Crapawa shitjo managed to sink in 16 goals in a single cup effort, still the most to this day.  /ksg/'s group stage was a quiet exit just narrowly slipping by at 2nd place. It wasn't until the knockout round where Crapawa woke up to score 10 of his 16 goals against three opponents. /vg/ League 6	Napoopan	CF		After a stalled offensive against  /@/ and  /aog/, Napoopan seemed doomed to be banished to Elba, the army given over to the new, charismatic PRINCE, AND EMPEROR, following another first round exit. However, after rallying his troops, Napoopan slayed the elephants, scoring a hattrick in a 6-1 rout against  /domg/ and never looking back. /vg/ League 7	Grigori	CF		After a rocky first game against  /sog/ Grigori took to the pitch to find someone worthy to stand against him. With hat tricks against  /lisg/ and  /drg/ , the Goal of the Tournament that will live on forever against  /5N@F/ late into extra time of the semifinal, and a 90+5 goal against  /xcg/ to cement his team's victory, Grigori proved none could stand against him in the VGL and left to seek the next link in the endless chain. /vg/ League X	Unity-chan	SS		While many remember her standout performance as  /vg/'s gold striker during their first ever cup victory, what people may have forgotten was what happened before that, when Unity-chan first appeared on the field in VGLX. As a silver striker, she scored the most goals on the team during /vrg/'s first place run, even more than their gold striker. In addition, she also scored the team's first ever goal, and was the star player during /vrg/'s final day run, scoring a brace in /vrg/'s closest match, a 2-1 victory over /mbg/ in the semi-finals. /vg/ League 11	APEX	SS		The APEX of servants... Arthur Pendragon. Sorry to keep you waiting. APEX did what other non-medal players dream they could achieve. He rose up and channeled his inner beastslaying skills to play as if he were a gold rated player. Fluiding up and down the pitch as a second striker and a centerback, APEX made a difference in all areas. The defensive efforts in the group stage. The game winner against  /きらら/. /vg/ League 12	GOGETA DA	CF		What is the main characteristic of a Saiyan? That's right, their fighting spirit leading the warrior race to push for greater heights every single time, breaking through limits and always aiming for more. After winning VGL11 with /dbg/, GOGETA DA went into VGL12 as the main gold and striker for the team. Getting hattricks against  /gbfg/ in Group A and  /twg/ in the semi finals as well as a brace against  /vitagen/ GOGETA DA was the main catalyst for /dbg/ in their VGL12 run with a total of 9 goals, second place only behind  /drag/'s Enuji. GOGETA DA immortalized himself as a menace for both  /dbg/ and  /vg/, as the smug blue cunt tasted glory as the MVP for the first back to back champion.	Apps	Goals	Assists	MotM

/vg/ League 13	HOPE	CF		HOPE was a one man wrecking crew for  /drg/, scoring nearly 3/4ths of his teams goals for the entire tournament. Despite having his most clutch game in the overtime thriller vs  /dng/, where he scored the game clinching hat trick at the 115th minute, it was not enough as his team eventually fell to the eventual champions  /lzg/ in the Finals. /vg/ League 14	1CC Killer	GK		Being a relatively recent addition to the team, joining just a year prior, 1CC Killer was your typical PES 16 GK (not very effective) until the day she remembered her name is about them, not her team. Facing  /feg/, she did the impossible and saved the ball in PES 16... 13 times... in one game. Her saves alongside a good performance from Pls Rember carried  /2hug/ up to the semi-finals, however, that over-reliance and the enemy teams using PD mode took a toll on her and she couldn't save the team from finishing in 4th place facing  /lzg/. AMF		Opening  /hgg2d/'s first ever VGL with a statement game, sending  /egg/ on a one-way trip to Wonderland with a double brace was but one of Alice's many feats as the Crawling One racked up 10 goals in 5 matches to become the first midfielder since >Greg to win the Golden Boot and the Award. /vg/ League 16	I'm Going to Alice!	SS		After a sleepy group stage with little of note aside from a meme match with  /gfg/, the reigning MVP from beyond the stars woke up in the knockouts. Scoring braces to pull ahead of a red-hot  /skg/, carrying the team against an  /ssbg/ that had won 17 of their last 19 games, and scoring the Goal of the Tournament against repeat finalist  /akg/, Alice secured  /hgg2d/'s first star in only their second appearance. /vg/ League 18	ZERO SANITY	CF		After being witness to two finals losses, ZERO SANITY decided to carry /akg/ on his back in VGL18. Spurred on by the sounds of the Golden Age he led off by scoring a double brace against  /きらら/. He got an assist against  /aceg/ before recording three braces in a row against  /alg/,  /@/, and  /mmg/, including a 120th minute winner against  /@/, and one more goal against  /assg/. In /akg/'s third final appearance, ZERO SANITY scored a hat trick against  /feg/ to finally give /akg/ their first star and send them to the Golden Age. Arguably the most memorable, and record setting, part of ZERO SANITY's performance was his 7 free kicks scored. While teams might try to foul to prevent a shot, goalkeepers will now forever shudder at dead ball situations when they hear the sounds of AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA getting set up to kick. /vg/ League 23	I CAN'T DO ANYTHING	AMF		Though his output was small as his stature, Jevil's season was entirely about coming through in the clutch where the team's captain would not. In a defensive and low-scoring campaign, the jacked-up jester made sure his five goals were all highlights. First was a record-shattering goal at 0:51 against  /aceg/ in groups. Then came a game-clinching, eurobeat-laced brace against  /vgt/ in Ro16 extra time. Facing minor rival (and personal enemy)  /@/, he wheeled through a two-defender gap at 86' to punch the team's first-ever ticket to Top 4. In the final, his 1-1 equalizer at 67' kept hope alive until  /lcg/ clinched a hard-fought game in stoppage. He lurked outside the box and spun gold from straw; right place, right time, every time.
