Misfortune piled on misfortune, as "HALT!" made a terrible clearance by kicking the ball into the back of Stealth Archer which allowed for Slayerscape to convert /rsg/'s first shot of the game into an easy goal. Unfortunately for them, their opening appearance in [[/vg/_League_12_Group_L|Group L]] taught them to rember day when they was scared and frigten rather than a day of hope and joy, with another scoreless blowout against [[/2hug/|/2hug/]], as they lost 3-0.<br>
Hopes and expectations were low following yet another loss for the /tesg/ team going into the [[/indie/|/indie]] game. To the surprise of everyone, the game opened with a goal from M'aiq at the 28th minute. The fans were no doubt left clutching their heads when /indie/ answered 3 minutes later, was this to be a repeat of the /vitagen/ game from VGL11? As it would turn out, no. The game went to half time perfectly balanced at 1-1. Whatever went on in the locker rooms during that half time did something, as both teams managed to score a further 3 goals apiece in the second half. Of /tesg/'s star players, only Hodd Toward failed to accomplish a goal during the match; as Vivec, Dagoth Ur and Pelinal Whitestrake all added to the goals for /tesg/. An exciting game, it inspired the hope that /tesg/ could perhaps mantle something greater. <br>
The final game of Group L was against the dreaded guns of [[/gfg/|/gfg/]]. The outcome of the /indie/ and /2hug/ game meant that /tesg/ required a win by 5 goals of more to overcome their goal differential and escape to the survival round for the first time. That task was too big an ask though, the day was not without any glory for the /tesg/ team. Coming off of the high scoring /indie/ - /tesg/ game, both M'aiq and Vivec scored two goals in quick succession within 5 minutes of each other. Unfortunately, this rapid play did not continue for much longer, /gfg/ learned that one does kill a god when Sharkitect was sent off at 19 minutes for a dangerous tackle on Dagoth Ur outside of the penalty box. Down to 10 men, /gfg/ decided upon trying to prevent further damage to their ranks and changed to a more defensive formation. This was to result in /tesg/'s demise, as they could not break the /gfg/ defenses until a second formation change late in the game, with a second goal by M'aiq at 88 minutes. Thus the day concluded with /tesg/'s first official victory, but failing to advance. <br>
In all, the VGL 12 outing was a more competent /tesg/ than in VGL 11. Hopefully, the team will have the opportunity to achieve further glory in future competitions.<br>

Despite a victory from /mcg/ against /rsg/, Azura did not favour /tesg/ in their match with /vitagen/. The team secured their first goal from a corner taken by Hodd Toward which resulted in a successful header into the net for M'aiq at 17 minutes, but this euphoria was short-lived. /vitagen/ responded swiftly with an answering goal in less than a minute, and /tesg/ found themselves drawn. The team could not successfully penetrate /vitagen/'s defence for the rest of the first half, and were down by a goal at the half after High Impact Sexual Violence managed a second. The team came a bit more to life in the second half, with "HALT!" in red condition carrying the defence at several points. /tesg/ nearly matched /vitagen/ for shots by the end of the game, and outplayed them in passing, but those statistics were for nought as they could neither secure an equaliser or their advancement from the group stage. Losing 2-1, /tesg/ won the VGL 11 spoon, with a tragic -8 GD.

VGL 12

/tesg/ returned to VGL12 with some optimism after an amazing display against /aceg in the /vg/ League 12 Friendlies. Unfortunately for them, their opening appearance in Group L taught them to rember day when they was scared and frigten rather than a day of hope and joy, with another scoreless blowout against /2hug/, as they lost 3-0.
Hopes and expectations were low following yet another loss for the /tesg/ team going into the /indie game. To the surprise of everyone, the game opened with a goal from M'aiq at the 28th minute. The fans were no doubt left clutching their heads when /indie/ answered 3 minutes later, was this to be a repeat of the /vitagen/ game from VGL11? As it would turn out, no. The game went to half time perfectly balanced at 1-1. Whatever went on in the locker rooms during that half time did something, as both teams managed to score a further 3 goals apiece in the second half. Of /tesg/'s star players, only Hodd Toward failed to accomplish a goal during the match; as Vivec, Dagoth Ur and Pelinal Whitestrake all added to the goals for /tesg/. An exciting game, it inspired the hope that /tesg/ could perhaps mantle something greater.
The final game of Group L was against the dreaded guns of /gfg/. The outcome of the /indie/ and /2hug/ game meant that /tesg/ required a win by 5 goals of more to overcome their goal differential and escape to the survival round for the first time. That task was too big an ask though, the day was not without any glory for the /tesg/ team. Coming off of the high scoring /indie/ - /tesg/ game, both M'aiq and Vivec scored two goals in quick succession within 5 minutes of each other. Unfortunately, this rapid play did not continue for much longer, /gfg/ learned that one does kill a god when Sharkitect was sent off at 19 minutes for a dangerous tackle on Dagoth Ur outside of the penalty box. Down to 10 men, /gfg/ decided upon trying to prevent further damage to their ranks and changed to a more defensive formation. This was to result in /tesg/'s demise, as they could not break the /gfg/ defenses until a second formation change late in the game, with a second goal by M'aiq at 88 minutes. Thus the day concluded with /tesg/'s first official victory, but failing to advance.
In all, the VGL 12 outing was a more competent /tesg/ than in VGL 11. Hopefully, the team will have the opportunity to achieve further glory in future competitions.
