/rlg/ is a team headed by lark !!chdj9i9q3i4 which debuted in /vg/ League 5. They managed to place 4th and break or tie a ton of records. /rlg/ is the home of the roguelike sub-genre of RPGs which include features such as tiled-based and turn-based game play, procedural random map generation, and Permanent Death. Few play these difficult games; which are made especially difficult by people's inability to be patient. Roguelikes are like the chess of RPGs where you must think ahead and think of all your available moves. It is an unforgiving genre which has intimidated casuals since 1980 when Rogue, the game that all Roguelikes are based upon. They are praised for their replayability due to random generation of maps, items, and literally hundreds (or thousands if you're playing something like PosChengBand) of race/class combinations. So, go try one, I recommend Dungeon Crawl:Stone Soup, as it is a much more inviting and easier roguelike, and it even has good tile graphics.

/vg/ League 5
In /vg/ League 5, /rlg/ exploded onto the scene with a record(s) breaking 7-2 blowout over /@/. The following match, /rlg/ was in a bit of trouble until a cheeky 90+ header by Sigmund saved their day, ensuring a draw. They were pretty much already confirmed for the knockouts when they played /rsg/, but beat them anyways to clinch the group. The draw followed the next day and many believed they were doomed against /twg/. Against all odds, /rlg/ stuck it out and won in penalties, the first in /rlg/'s history. At this point, Sigmund and Crapawa Shitjo were in a heated race for the golden boot that Crapawa was winning. Sigmund scored 4 goals against /ssbg/ to try to bring the race closer, but there was no way Sigmund could beat Crapawa's record breaking cup performance. As mentioned, these 4 goals were all that were needed to advance over /ssbg/, but now Sigmund was set to square off against /ksg/ and Crapawa Shitjo. Despite some decent half-time changes that equalized the game, /rlg/ couldn't stop Crapawa, and lost, being sent to the third-place match. The match has a lot of horrible horrible passing, but when they worked out, goals were scored. /rlg/ would go on to lose in penalties, and get 4th in the tournament. Now we patiently wait for /vg/ League 6, and see how /rlg/ can uphold its new reputation.

They didn't. After a win against /bdog/, /rlg/ was blown out by /xcg/ and /gerg/ putting them in fourth, and failing to qualify for /vg/ League 6. They're assumptiously looking towards /vg/ League 7, hoping to be less terrible.
