Past the barrier at Platform Nine and Three-Quarters lies /hpgg/, secluded and cozy even among the generals of /vg/. Not to say, of course, that they're cut off from the Muggle world outside -- in fact, when news of the /vg/ League reached their gates, it's said that the populace eagerly sent out the Muggleborn among them to bring back knowledge of this curious tradition. (In fairness, Quidditch had been getting boring lately, anyway.)
Much to their surprise, they learned of a strange magic that for some reason had taken hold of an ostensibly Muggle event: for whatever reason, the League's denizens appeared familiar with the lore of strange curses, and seemed to treat them with the caution they ought. So it's no surprise, curiosity piqued, that this ragtag band of witches and wizards alike are now out in force on the football pitch!
After all, what's a curse if not to be broken? And what's a Cup if not to be won?
