Holy shit Ikikoi shocked me. I’m 15 minutes in and was not prepared at ALL. I figured with the “ikikoi is kamige” and “ikikoi is kusoge” memes that it would obviously be somewhere in between but I did not expect to get so immediately drawn in.
Please tell me that that is the kind of ride I’m in for, because I don’t want it to stop.
Ikikoi is THE best eroge I have read in my life.
The pacing, the characters, the plot, the humor and the romance are all perfect. You will never find a girl more wonderful than the many heroines found in Ikikoi.
Written by Sca-Ji himself, this tops Subarashiki Hibi and every other "plot"-focused eroge on every level. The story doesn't mess around, it introduces you to each girl and then sends you straight into a short but hilarious prologue before allowing you to choose a girl to romance shortly after.
Did I mention the girls were fantastic? Not one of them is sub-par and the art has been beautifully crafted by the master of moe: Karory. Tane is guaranteed to warm your heart in a way it has never been warmed before, while Eika will surpass your expectations of what the best tsundere every made could possibly be. Ryou will pierce your soul with her cold gaze only to lovingly nurse it back to health, and Tsumugu will leave you wondering how a maid can be so absolutely perfect in every way. When you hear "Kawashima Rino", you can forget about Yuki because Tsumugu is the character you will never forget for your entire life. The main character Chouji as well is a character you will never forget, as through his charming dialogue and cool expressions you can truly see why every girl love shim as much as they do. Ikikoi is more than just a "moege", it is the heart and soul of what makes eroge great. Nothing will ever surpass Ikikoi in terms of sheer perfection.

It is the exodia of the kamiges. Every kamige was created just to prepare you to read Ikikoi.
