2015 4chan Winter Cup

The 2014 4chan Autumn Babby Cup was the thirteenth official 4chan Cup tournament and the third iteration of the Autumn Babby Cup series. The tournament was played on the weekends of October 17-19, 24-26, 31-2 and November 8-9 2014 in Autumn 2014. The tournament featured a mixture of teams relegated from the 2014 4chan Summer Cup, as well as teams that failed to qualify from the 2014 4chan Spring Babby Cup.

In light of tottori !!sRN5AxsnGLL being unable to become host DrBorisG !!uWmnP2zIyZF took responsibilities for another tournament, his 6th (>sixth) as Commissioner. This was the fourth 4chan Cup event to be hosted using Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 as a platform. After winning the 2014 4chan Spring Babby Cup, /pol/ was the host board of this competition.

/b/ were the winners of the tournament, overcoming /e/ 2-1 to take their first ever winners trophy. /wg/ finished third after beating /n/ on penalties to make their third top-three cup finish.

Competitors

Forty teams competed at this tournament. Fifteen of the teams qualified by means of being relegated from the 2014 4chan Summer Cup, twenty-four qualified by means of failing to advance from the 2014 4chan Spring Babby Cup and several new entries hoped to make a name for themselves.

This was the debut Autumn Cup for /a/, /biz/, /ck/, /co/, /i/, /int/, /m/, /out/, /sp/, /t/ and /w/.

Draw

The draw for the group stages was made on Sunday, October 5 2014. Teams were placed in four different pots based on seeding. Seeding was determined by:

Finishing position of teams relegated from the 2014 4chan Summer Cup in that tournament
Finishing position of teams failing to advance from the 2014 4chan Spring Babby Cup in that tournament
Entry of teams of the Sixth Founding in alphabetical order.

All of the highest-seeded competitors were placed in Pot 1, the next-highest in Pot 2 and so on until all five pots contained eight teams.
